Have checked around Awson Street down to Oliver Street several times at different times of day/night and no sign but there are lots of park/allotments/overgrown gardens etc. As far as possible have checked these but haven't been able to get into all. Will poster down as far as Peel St and then start on the other side of Stoney Stanton rd from Broad Street down towards Hanford Close. If anyone sees the posties or the street cleaners could they ask them to keep there eyes open as they are around so much?
Sioux
Any news on Belle?
Julie
Hi Annnette, The girl who thinks she saw belle lives on the left hand side towards the bottom of Awson Street (with Stoney Stanton Rd behind you. I've looked around with my dogs to see if I could spot an obvious den and am planning to go out with them later on tonight as I'm guessing she is scavenging food from all the takeaways on Stoney Stanton once the street quietens down. If you see someone with a huge dog like a bear and a small terrier thats me. Julie

Info sent to owner.

Julie, thank you so much for all you're doing to help find Belle. I've asked her owner to register and let us have a few more details.

Please confirm that Belle is now found - thanks. Liz xx

About 50 posters now up in the area around Awson Street. One girl in Awson Street said she has seen a dog she thinks is Belle and tried to entice her with food but the dog was too wary. Are the owners able to walk around the area calling Belle as it may be that she will not go to strangers?
B30
One of our Co-ordinators has put Belle on Twitter and will also get her added to Central Facebook page

Thank you Julie. Owner has text to say Belle is a medium sized dog.
Julie
Sorry forgot to add that the people who thought they'd seen her said she looked thin and a bit scruffy but no obvious limp or injuries etc.
Julie
Have been putting posters up on Stoney Stanton Rd near Gallagher retail park and 3 people have said they think they have seen a dog like Belle running around with no obvious owner with her. Possible sightings on Stoney Stanton Road by junction with Broad Street and 2 in Awson Street just off Stoney Stanton Rd. Could the owners let us know roughly the size of the dog (ie small, medium, large). Please let them know I'll keep looking and will put up some proper laminated posters over the next couple of days. Sorry to see that BELLE STILL MISSING is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
