Do you still contact the dog warden regularly?.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Bumped due to press release.
tails4wagging
Ive put two posters up in Arundel, one in the large car park and the other in a bus stop. Third poster I put on a post at Brookfield park (first one gone).
tails4wagging
John do you want me to go over there with a poster and ask face to face?.
tails4wagging
She is in the local Littlehampton gazette this week as missing.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Well done everyone, you are doing a great job! John, you need to speak to that staff member who spoke to those men. I doubt that comment just appeared out of thin air. Need to figure out who exactly caught a dog or if the wording got a bit altered in the conveyance, so to speak. Sometimes they'll cover up if they want to keep the dog. Have you seen this Steve in person? Check his face and body language when speaking about it. Or, they may have referred to someone else. Good luck. x
tails4wagging
Try putting up posters in Arundel, Amberly .
tails4wagging
Oh no. Perhaps garage folks got it wrong?.
john
No luck. This guy has no clue about a missing dog...
tails4wagging
Oh good luck.

Do you want me to pop over to Arundel and give westbourne garage a poster?.Last edited: 2011-08-13 12:38:32 by tails4wagging

Good luck John is all you are doing to get your dog back...keep up the pressure,
john
No luck with the CCTV from the Shell garage. The manager, however, did say two guys who work for Westbourne Motors in Arundel paid for petrol and told one of his staff members he'd just caught a dog. The guy who took the dog is called Steve. I've informed the police. "Steve" isn't back in work until Sunday, which is when I will call him.
tails4wagging
Dont worry about my expense. There was one poster I saw somewhere around Arundel rd area.
john
I'm meeting the manager at the Shell garage tomorrow in order to view the CCTV, which captures the area in which she was taken. Fingers crossed.
I'm mostly at work, but i've used Google Street View in search of CCTV around the Arundel Road/Albert Road- that'll be the next step. I may start putting up a reward sum for her return.
john
Thankyou very much- i'll have to repay you for all of your ink and expense.
We've put some up near the harbour. Mainly Rustington.
tails4wagging
BTW I was surprised on not seeing any in the town already!?.
tails4wagging
Ok, Ive dropped off posters to shops in littlehampton ie: chemist in the arcade, newsagents (they charged me 50p for a week!!), Animal Magic pet shop, vets in Fritzalan rd and on a post at Brookfield park.
john
He was seen yesterday at around 16:30.
Julie B
I do hope that Sugar is found very soon. Is there CCTV along the Arundel Road at all that may have captured this man ? Was the man seen recently or when Sugar first went missing ? Julie

I am wondering would it be possible for anyone in that area to poster the Caravan Parks as there are quite a few caravan parks in and around Littlehampton and Arundel areas still lots of holiday makers around as well.
Good luck Stay Safe Sugar Poppet until you are found xxxx
john
Ok that's great- thankyou!
tails4wagging
Ive told him to register here he will spot her if she is there I am sure he will find her.
tails4wagging
I have a AR contact a young lad who lives in Littlehampton. I will show him the poster.
john
A male was seen walking her in Littlehampton; on the Arundel Road near zebra crossing- next to railway. 6ft tall medium build
john
I've posted letters and posters to vet in Rustington and Worthing.
Unknown
I have forwarded Sugars poster to Mount Noddy at Eartham and the Chichester Dog Wardens for you.
Good Luck lets hope she is back home soon.
Stay Safe Sugar until you are found poppet xxxx

I have bumped, due to press releases. Well done owners. x
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
You need to try and find out the date, was it the day she disappeared or after? Poster all round that garage - alongthe road on lamp posts in the eyeline of motorists and on anything that people will see. This should bring in anyone else that may have seen anything. Good luck. x
john
My partner had a phone call from the local dog grooming business at 17:50. Apparently, a lady saw a male pick Sugar up near the Shell garage on Worthing Road- on what day and time; we're not sure.
tails4wagging
Good idea re- papers.
john
cheers guys- i've tried again today, but nothing. She's in all of the lcoal newspapers this week. We can only continue trying.
DogLostNina
Just thought about RSPCA Mount Noddy at Eartham nr Chichester to contact.
DogLostNina
John do you have any idea which local radio covers your area I know that Spirit and Solent may be revelent and that it might me an idea to contact them and ask for their help.
tails4wagging
Keep ringing the dog warden for Arun district council. Ask where the dog pound is that they use and ring there. maybe worth ringing Worthing dog warden too.Last edited: 2011-08-06 15:36:13 by tails4wagging
john
i'm not going to give up- after reading the story about the Collie- Cloud. Maybe she's gone nocturnal
john
I've just tried now- no luck. We had a call from a lady saying her friend found a JRT in BN17. It turned out to not be ours. At least the posters are working. Thanks Nina
DogLostNina
Hello John, as a thought have you been in touch with Clymping Dog Rescue at Ford just in case she has been handed in.
john
We've had no sightings since Sunday, which just makes me wonder whether i'm ever going to find her- we adopted her to give her a good life- and now it's completely the opposite.
john
Thankyou so much Nina and tails4wagging

Drop off posters in the village at the pet shop and information centre plus a couple of shops. Will print more of to give to the two vets in the village and the rec ground.
What is a worry is that the 'Travelers' have camped in the fields by Roundstone and they are notorious in stealing dogs. Lets hope she doesnt get into their hands.
tails4wagging
I live in Rustington and printing off some posters now to put up around the village. One I have put up on the dog bin at the sea front. Lots of doggy walkers go along there.
DogLostNina
John do hope the latest information brings a reunion. You may be interested to learn that there is another dog Digby 31566 post code BN16 missing from the Rustington area. As a thought is it possible you could join forces and help each other.
john
Following posters, we've had a few calls to say she was seen on Sunday 31st- running down North lane (just off Worthing Road, near M&S) toward Rustington Village.
john
We've just spent the past 2 hours roaming through the woods and park areas- no luck- not even with these smelly pilchards.
john
Thankyou. She went missing whilst we were on Eastcourt Way.
tails4wagging
Its worth keep going back to where you lost her as I find If I lose my dog briefly she comes back to where she last saw me.. I live in Allangate so will keep an eye open for her.
DogLostNina
Hello John how is it going. Has anyone spoken to you about scenting the area or leaving items of clothing, contents of vacumn cleaner with your human and home smells on it around the area she went missing. I am sure if you contact H/Q or a co-ordinator they will be able to advise you.
john
Hi Nina, Hi C.J-
Thankyou- i've done all that so far thankyou Nina- i've contacted the local pet detective and there'll be an article in the Argus tomorrow.
We're going to set a trap at some point, as she's going to be difficult getting hold of.

C.J- she's definately not chipped, she slipped from her collar.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
can you also confirmed that sugar is def not chipped and was she wearing a collar at all- what sort or colour and with or without a tag?
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator

DogLostNina
OK John, who have you been in touch with. What about contacting the council offices at Arun who are in Littlehampton, the dog warden based in Chichester who I beleive may cover part of the area your dog is missing in. I am house bound at the moment so I cant get out and about. but use me as a sounding board if I can help. Have you postered in Lilehampton and Rustington.
john
She prefers female company over male- she gets jumpy with quick movements and strong body language
john
she could be over near the golf course, but I did spend a good 5 hours searching around there- including the farm land. She's timid with new people, and so, will more likely be hiding- she'll need human contact soon for food.
john
Hi Nina, she went missing on the A259 near the Body Shop island. She was last seen running down the Worthing Road toward the Windmill Pub near Rustington Golf Course.
DogLostNina
John, can you give anymore details of where Sugar went missing. Was it near the A27, A259 or near Felpham or Bognor Regis, any information would be helpfull.
john
Please help us find Sugar! Cash reward offered. John
