- Other Info I was walking him and he ran ahead of me and was waiting at the top of my driveway for me. 2 girls stopped apparently(a passer by told me this)and took him off in their car to take him to the police stn. I rushed there in my car, but it was shut. My number was on his tag, but they seemed to think there was no tag! I was just round the corner still walking home!

- we got the following by email from Minx's very relieved owner "Hi, just to let you know Minx has been found. Some people from the
neighbouring town had him, with a story that did not make any sense.
I
had informed everyone possible, and put posters along the full length
of my road on both sides, posters to all the neighbours, and your
site
is amazing - just as I posted him missing, a lady phoned me from
nearby and said she would keep a look out. I think they saw him,
thought it was a great idea to keep him, but maybe down my road, and
thought maybe not! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GREAT SITE!" - 2011-08-03 18:50 AlisonH

- Do we know what time he was taken? It may be worth waiting in Raglan Road at the same time of day to see if any regular road users remember anything or in case you see the passer-by again. I've texted the mobile number on here to offer help with postering tomorrow but really hope he turns up safely before then x

- Blitz with posters everywhere so that people walking/driving cannot fail to see them. Make him too hot to handle. Hope you are re-united very soon

- How awful and unusual. When Eva was lost people didn't approach her when she was on somebody's drive as everybody thought she lives there. So maybe there is more to this story?

- I'm so sorry to hear this. If true, how and why can someone who sees a dog standing at the top of a drive not assume that the dog lives there?
Firstly, is the owner sure of the passer-by's story? Did a car pass the owner and if Minx was in it, wouldn't he have been visible? It is a fairly large breed. Sorry, it's just that after my experience with a dog and an apparent passer-by, I'm more suspicious than most.
Also, I would advise going to the local pounds and shelters, rather than phoning, as he is a little known breed that the wardens or kennel staff could easily mistake for other wire haired pointer types.
I hope he's found soon. - 2011-08-03 09:26 Suziewoo
- I've shared on Facebook as we are local to Raglan Road. Hopefully it was just a good samaritan who misread the situation & that they are now trying to hand Minx over to the authorities. Please let me know if you do need a hand with posters or leaflets.

- just looked the breed up - would be very similar to the german wire haired pointer
