- I don't know where BA10 is, but driving home from Bath towards Keynsham tonight (2115) I spotted an elderly black lab on the A4 in Saltford. I stopped three times to try and catch him but every time, "it" turned around and went the other way. He was wearing a chain style collar and had a limp - was Bruno?? We called the police who said they'd send someone to look.

- Hi, i am busy this weekend but will go out and look for Bruno next week with my female retriever. She doesn't miss a trick. Is Bruno's hearing good if people are calling for him? I only live 29 mins away on the A37.

- The neighbours have been really good and have helped search their properties really thoroughly, we just dont know where else to look, apparently he was spotted walking back towards home by somebody riding past so it just seems rally strange that he never got back to us

- Just a thought (not a very cheerful one), but it may be worth contacting network rail as there is a railway line not far from there. I'm sure admin will correct me if I'm wrong, but drivers sometimes report dogs that are seen on or near the lines.
Have e-mailed poster to the local agility club in Cloford. I doubt he's got that far, but you never know where people live.Last edited: 2011-08-09 17:37:07 by skylark - 2011-08-09 16:48 skylark
- This is so sad, how far can a 17 yr old lab with dodgy back legs have gone? Keep checking with the vets and rescue centres in case he has been picked up. I am also free tomorrow afternoon if you want more help searching. Do you know the farmers around the area well enough for them to allow us on to their land to search, preferably with another dog albeit on a lead as there is lot of livestock in the area? I will be out this evening, but if you post, I will pick it up when I get back.

- Have been out looking this afternoon, sadly with no success. Spoke to a couple of people who are going to keep their eyes open. One of them already knew and was actively looking with her dog. Have also spoken to friends in South Brewham who walk their dogs in that area and they are going to spread the word and look themselves. I do hope Bruno is found soon.Last edited: 2011-08-08 18:09:08 by skylark

- Do you have any more info as to where Bruno went missing? I live in the area and am more than happy to help search. Also worth contacting Francis & Jackson vets in Trudoxhill and the practice in Bruton, if not already done so.Last edited: 2011-08-08 11:36:32 by skylark

- Sorry to see that BRUNO is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (31690)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
