The gold star for this one goes to the neighbour's dog! While Gouldy was talking to the neighbour, the dog spotted Phoebe darting across the road. Phoebe vanished into thick undergrowth but the dog sniffed out her hiding place.

PHOEBE IS NOW HOME! Safe and well at 7.15 pm Friday 12th.
I say thank you to everybody for your interest, encouragement, and support. I had forgotten how many GOOD people are out there. I hope my only involvement with Dog Lost in the future, is to try to be helpful to someone else in the Future. Again Many Thanks

Keep positive. I will put posters up in my area (DN10). if you organise a search party let me know. Arborsette

Don't give up hope! A small black dog at this time of year can easily scurry about unnoticed, especially at dawn and dusk. Just because she hasn't been seen, it doesn't mean that she isn't there.

disappointing night. Set trap and kept vigil from 8 pm. by midnight we had caught a hedgehog. So reset the trap and eventually called it a day at 5 am
As the previous night we had found a hedgehog in the bed we had set, it now seems certain that it wasn't Phoebe taking the food. Now no confirmed activity since Monday 2 pm. Morale sinking fast
Gouldy
Food was taken again last night between midnight and 4.15 am.So will take up Owl's offer re the dog trap and set for tonight.

I am near Chesterfield and have a trap. Let me know if you need it.

Thanks for the update Gouldy. Hope it's her that's taking the food.
Gouldy
The food was taken overnight-Yes we know there are several possibilities, but will be repeating the exercise again tonight if necessary.
Thanks for your support

Info and advice sent to owner. Thanks Jackie and Jenni S. There have been a few sightings of Phoebe in the area she went missing from, about 3/4 mile from home. Owner has made a sheltered area and is baiting with food and scented items. She's very close to home so fingers crossed she'll be caught soon.Last edited: 2011-08-09 21:50:11 by B30
