- Thank you Jackalee.
Owner has checked out the found one, but no luck.
She will be putting another advert in the local paper again and will let me know if she has any news from it. - 2011-08-17 23:27 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- Thanks goldenfrodo, Gizmos owner rang me back while I was out and told me about the van. I take it she didn't have any luck with the found then :( Will keep looking out for Gizmo.

- Gizmo's owner has just contacted me. Still no news but he was advertised in the local paper and a lady rang up saying that she saw him being picked up by a large white van approx 10 minutes after he went missing. Van stopped at traffic lights and driver seemed to be on the phone. A smaller white van then came and Gizmo was put in there.
The lady who saw this happen didnt have her glasses with her and didnt get the numbers of either van.
Owner is going to put another advert in the paper again this week in the hope she has some news about Gizmo. - 2011-08-17 10:48 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- Thanks Meru :)
Info from AW's. As thought, they are multiple entries on the AW site. The found was found with another dog (cocker I think). The AW's don't cover Wigan anymore so few details. They have possibly been taken to Leigh Cats and Dogs Home. I am just on my out for the day and can't get an answer on either number. Will try later. - 2011-08-17 09:04 Meru
- I work in Atherton (M46 area). Have put his poster up in our works canteen. Hope you're reunited very soon

- Have now spoken to Gizmo's owner. She has been busy postering and has notified all the right authorities. Visited Leigh Cats and Dogs Home and I've said to go to Manchester Dogs Home.
Also she's going to inform the microchip company and now going to print out leaflets to put through peoples doors.
There is a travellers camp nearby so going to poster near there as well.
Gizmo would know his way home from where he was lost but so far there's been no sightings of him
Good luck. Hope you have some good news soon. Barbara x - 2011-08-10 11:47 Goldenfrodo

- Sorry to see that GIZMO is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (31701)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
