Hoorays all round!!!! Do you know what he will be called in his new home?? He brings back happy memories of my dear old springer,Monty, who was pts in June aged 16. They are wonderful dogs, I was tempted by this one I must admit!!x

Springer rescue have now spoken with ESSJ and also mastiff rescue and they are organising transport to bring him into ESS rescue care where there is a lifetime foster home waiting for him. Thanks everyone you're all fab especially mastiff rescue for taking him in. He sounds like a barrel of fun (typical springer) xx

I have been left a message on my answerphone (was dog training this evening) will call them tomorrow, I live in quite a small village where most people know each other, he was put on our village website and also spoken to a lot of people in the village who have been spreading the word about him for the past week so far no report of him missing from anywhere, he is eating very well and has even attempted a run across my field today, I just hope he finds someone to love and care for him in his final months/years I say years as he has spirit and I can't see him giving up without a fight have brought him indoors and he seems happy to be in a crate and so far has been clean, will update when I have replied to calls tomorrow

So kind of finder to help this Oldie.. hope he gets a place at the springer rescue... Try putting poster's around where he was found, oldies(especially with cataract's I would imagine) usually do not roam too far from home...as we found out with the oldie we managed to reunite with her very grateful elderly owner's who were not computer savvy and only phoned the police who obviously had no record of her!! Good Luck.

Thank you for taking care of this boy Mastiff Rescue.Have entered his name as "looking for a home" and bumped him rather than reuniting him at present so we can share him on facebook and the springer forums. Hope he gets a lovely new forever home really soon xxx

This boy has served his time at the pound so has been brought back out, he is still looking for rescue space, or someone willing to give this old boy a home for the rest of his days, think he could do with some TLC for the remainder of his time, he needs a bath and haircut has been seen by a vet that said he has arthritis to be expected in an older dog, is able to see well enough so please ask around and see if anyone is able to take him on, he is staying with me at present but that will mean being in kennels and we would all prefer him being in a home
