- There is a ruby cavalier on the notices for RSPCA Wirral who is in an awful condition but they say it is old. You can't tell from the photo how old it is but my ruby cavalier often looks a lot older than he is. The one at the RSPCA has an eye discharge so like your little boy in the second photo. A long shot I know but worth a try. If you have Facebook click onto their page and he is on there. I do hope he is yours as he will have a much better life than he has had.Unfortunately this poor dog I was referring to was sent to Rainbow Bridge by the RSPCA vet as he was so poorly.Last edited: 2013-08-27 04:23:09 by Marbie

- There is a dog on Facebook, Tameside Animal Shelter that is the same colouring as Oscar on the reserved list waiting to be rehomed. Might be worth a look.

- No Oscar isn't microchipped unfortunately. He does have some distinctive features that may help to identify him. x

- Just checking about Oscar. Following Bazil's call, AW site has still not updated to show he is still missing. I can't understand this! Probably a daft question, but they haven't reunited this dog to the wrong people, have they? He wasn't microchipped, so how would they know if someone just turned up and claimed him? Please tell me they would have had to jump through a lot more hoops than that? Can someone in Admin please get to the bottom of this one. Thanks

- I see animal wardens website has still not been changed to show little Oscar is still missing. I would have thought they would have been eager to have rectified the website saying he had been reunited. Very odd. Do you know any more on this little one Bazil.
- 2011-09-26 00:23 BBKM
- I telephoned yesterday and left a message but have just looked and Oscar's status and it is still showing he is reunited. I have just emailed animalwardens asking them to check this dog and his status.
- 2011-09-25 12:28 cavvy lover of pembrokeshire
- I don't know either how they could make such a big mistake. They made such a big thing of them being reunited the very next day. Great that you are going to call them Bazil, thanks.
- 2011-09-24 17:33 BBKM
- I have just seen Oscar's pic on animalwardens, its definately him on the photo, same background aswell. They have made a mistake, how??? they need to remove it. I am going to telephone them.
- 2011-09-24 13:20 cavvy lover of pembrokeshire
- Sorry, I meant "saying he is NOT reunited".
- 2011-09-24 13:14 cavvy lover of pembrokeshire
- Thanks for posting Goldenfrodo. Really very strange. Did you look at the Animal Wardens site and see the pic. It is identical, even down to the hernia! Should someone speak to AW so they can correct their site saying he is reunited so that folks can still keep looking for him.
- 2011-09-23 15:55 Goldenfrodo
- Just spoken to owner. Oscar is still missing - definitely NOT reunited.
The search goes on to find this little boy. - 2011-09-22 13:48 cavvy lover of pembrokeshire
- Bit confused. Is Oscar still missing? The reason I ask is that I found on the AW site that he had been reunited. http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search?sobi2Task=sobi2Details&sobi2Id=21534
I'm sure it looks like the same dog, but please let me know. - 2011-09-21 20:21 Debs

Hi here is the link for a Ruby Cavalier for stud in Ashington on preloved website. May be genuine, they say dog is 1yr 8 months old and KC registered, but they could have false papers. If you click on the photo it has a date of 26/04/2010 so this may or may not be the dog advertised but similar. Good luck x - 2011-09-05 05:17 Jill

We have fingers crossed.

- Sorry to see that OSCAR is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (31743)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
