Spoke to Jocks Owner. Jock isn't actually missing. Kat the owner had a problem with her house in January and she and her children had to move into a hotel until things were sorted. In the meantime the landlord of the house offered to look after Jock for her and she paid him for his food etc. In May she decided it had taken too long and moved into another house and the landlord refused to give Jock back. He has now changed his number so she can't contact him, she doesn't know where he lives, only the Moston area. She has been to the police who said they couldn't help because she handed Jock over willingly. The estate agent has refused to give her the landlords address/number. He was her little girls dog and they don't want to get another as Jock is part of the family. Tricky this one! I have advised that she contact the chip company as his details may still be registered with MDH, she has been chasing that up for a while with MDH. I have also advised that she could try writing a letter to the landlord, appealing to his better nature, maybe the estate agent would pass this on to him. Also she could may be try posteres in the area he loves, asking him to contact her or putting an add on the free sites. She knows he has a female jack russell.

If anybody has any other ideas, please let me know. She is desperate to get him back and the kids are really missing him.Last edited: 2011-08-12 14:32:35 by Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester

Sorry to see that JOCK is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
