Pippa now found safe and well - I was just on my way to the same place to look for her and a very kind lady beat me to it.

So, so thankful - just a slight limp and worn though pads, very tired and hungry. Given the distance she has travelled and that allher sightings have been by roads, it is a miracle.

Thanks to you all for your good wishes and concern.
VERY HAPPY DOG MOM!!!!

Yes I am aware, annpaul and I went looking for her after a reported sighting. she was seen at Vicarage Road at about midday and then in Frithsden Copse at about 1pm. Sadly we arrived too late on both occasions to find her. We have put posters around and put notes through letter boxes in both the Dagnall region and Potten End and Frithsden. Problem is that she keeps moving across such vast areas. She is back on the edge of Ashridge and maybe will circle back to the main monument area.

We have met a lot of dog walkers and riders; we have stopped hikers and cyclists, most have been willing to keep an eye out.
Posters are up in local pubs, village shops and golf clubs.
Ashridge is huge but she is back in its vicinity, though still a long way from where she disappeared.
She is chipped and fully tagged as long as the collar has stayed put.
She is a timid dog, particularly with men, she will be sad and terrified so it will be hard to catch her to see her details unless she is too weak to run off.
Suggest if you see her call me straight away - 07960 122310 so I can start to make my way over - if she can be lured with food into a barn or garage that is probably the easiest way to secure her rather than trying to grab her.
What more can I tell you - dog wardens, PetID and police aware, local game keepers and wardens also, will call vets and rescue homes tomorrow.

Please, please keep spreading the word and keep looking as she could be anywhere - Tell everyone you see or know and even local wardens incase they are different to the one contacted already - repetition will remind people!

I so want her home safely, and puppy Aston can't work out where she is - he is a lost soul. Please come home Pippa, you brave little trooper! She has covered miles.....
If I think of anything else I'll add it, for now, THANK YOU so much to everyone for your kind support and help in searching for her.

Having been through this with Pippi my Whippet last March, I am happy for Lurcherlover to call me if she wants too.

My Pippi was gone for two days before she was found.....must put up posters everywhere.

Do ring..I am to far away to help but I can offer a shoulder.

Hi I am local and help after work hours if you need me...if you need the help of a quiet friendly dog to entice her please also let me know..... Good luck x

I am her owner, thank you for your support. This is the first time this has happened to me. She disappeared by one of the carparks at Ashridge on Sunday at 2pm and was then sighted at 2.30 on the Ringshall Road near the Dagnall roundabout, then at 3.15 on the Leighton Buzzard Road at Mile Barn Farm near Hudnall - she turned back towards Dagnall when the farmers tried to catch her. I have been out searching around where I lost her and where she has been seen with full beam on to see if there is any sign or if I could hear her in the dark. She is a rescue dog and timid of strangers which will make her difficult to catch. If she is spotted, try to get down to her level and let her come to you even tempt her with some sort of meaty treat - she is particulalry shy of men and may bark with nerves or fear. She is a friendly loving soul and I expect she is terrified, she will want to trust you but will struggle to, she will cower at loud noises of quick, sharp movements. My puppy is missing her and so am I. Please keep an eye out and spreading the word.
Thank you.
