Strays from Preston don't go to the RSPCA, they go to Sundown kennels in Poulton or Elswick kennels in Elswick. Bamber Bridge however is classed as South Ribble & is a different council & different Dog warden & their dogs go to Morningside kennels at Longton. The RSPCA do sometimes take some of the strays AFTER they've done their 7 days but they are currently full, backlogged with Staffies & Staff types. Owner DOES need to visit kennels regularly as we know that dogs get overlooked & mis-described etc & I would suggest that they visit Sundown & Elswick too simply in case she's ended up in 'Preston' ie an area covered by the different dog wardens, as the area covered by them is only a mile or so down the road. I've had this on my FB page but had nothing from it sadly. Let me know if I can help.xxx
Mollychops
ive alerted owner that strays get taken to Preston RSPCA and he needs to visit on a regular basis. Ive been suggested this by a friend who knows the area where as I dont.

Goldenfrodo
Just phoned owner who is very upset and worried and is convinced that somebody has taken Dollie.
Can anybody who'se on facebook put her and her photo on there please?
I have advised him to contact the Railway and Highway Authorities in case Dollie has had an accident.
An appeal is going out on Radio Lancashire this afternoon so I'm bumping her up.
Fingers tightly crossed we have some good news of this little girl soon.

Dollie went missing from station road, near the hob inn, bamber bridge around 4:30pm on Sunday14th august, we are pretty sure now that someone has picked her up as we searched all the parks and streets of bamber bridge on sunday night and nobody has seen her at all. We stopped a dog walker coming off the enterance of cuerdon park near the hob inn and he said he saw a beagle on station road and a lady helping her. Granted this could be anything but it sounds to much of a coincidence. If someone has picked her up or you know the wererabouts of dollie then please contact leyland or bamberbridge police station as the owners are waiting for dollie to come home. Dollie is very dearly missed so if anyone has any information then please help by contacting me direct as her owner. If you do have her then please give her back to her family.

Really sorry to hear Dollie has been lost, I'll print off and put up a few posters around Ingol area of Preston and at the staff notice board of the Royal Preston Hospital, staff come from all over the surrounding area so hopefully we can get lots of people keeping a lookout. All the best xxLast edited: 2011-08-15 23:23:24 by Zeby
