Thank you so so much to everyone who has helped us find Maizie - I was starting to think the worse but our little houdini is now home safe and sound and no longer has the freedom of the garden when we are out!! She was taken to the seaside yesterday for a fishy treat to celebrate her home coming! Thank you again x

I walked around local area the same day i saw owners mum (who I recognised from last time) Maizie is a bit of an escape artist.
There are posters up around Hemsworth - especially on the walk around the bridlepaths- have been aroud there again tonight & no sign. She could have been picked up though. Owners have been through this before & hopefully Maizie will turn up again.

POST COPIED: 2011-09-22 14:33 Pip's mum
I know it's easier said than done, but try not to get too disheartened. We had possible sightings reported half an hr in either direction of where we lost Pip, and didn't know what to do. As it turned out, neither of them were Pip and she was found at the bottom of the mountain where she was lost.
She's probably just lying low for the time being. So many people told us their dog turned up after a week and we thought that was too long and would never happen...3 days later, there she was!
Although she's not shy, she might not go up to strangers so don't panic too much that she's not been seen. I know it's the unknown of what a dog will do in that situation (especially if they've not been lost before). Hopefully it will only be a matter of time. Stay positive!

I hope you find Maizie soon.
When searching for Pip with our other dog, we kept making our other dog bark. Not sure if it helped, but we were hoping Pip would hear the bark and come to investigate. Put posters up anywhere and everywhere, too; without them, the walker who found Pip wouldn't have recognised her and so she probably wouldn't have been handed in.
Good luck and fingers crossed for you.

I have called Wakefield Council and the Kennells they use - lo luck yet. I have left posters around the bridlepaths and told as many people as I could - no one has seen her.
My parents are off out with our other dog at lunch to leave some more posters and to have a look for her - hopefully she will smell Jack and come looking! Fingers crossed we can find her - missing her loads already!
