There doesn't seem to be much feedback on this page about this poor girl. Have their been any sightings? Is the owner distrubuting posters? I hope they haven't given up looking for her.
CP
Thanks, Ashmark. Although too far away to help in person, it's good to have this info. when searching on the net through stray/rescue centre pictures.

I have just spoken to the owner and she is not sure if the photo is of Indy but says it is a very good likness. Indy was staying with a friend when she went missing and the friend may have taken the photo. Just to clarify things Indy is a very pretty dog. She is pale fawn and has white feet, chest and stomach. She has a tatoo in her right ear Indy is 10 years old and hates being picked up. If you anyone tries to pick her up she will screech. She has a couple of nails on her front feet that grow out at an angle and get very long. Have also been told that the scars from the removal of her dew claws always look pink and sore even thouigh they were removed years ago.Last edited: 2011-08-30 09:31:31 by AlisonH

Could someone please confirm is this an actual photo of Indy or a similar one as indicated on thread 22/8 where it stated owner did not have a photo. You usually indicate "similar dog" and as this info. is missing I'm guessing a photo was somehow found.... Would welcome clarification.

Lincolnshire is my area and DogLost do class it as East Anglian.
Gillian
To be fair, Lincolnshire is a difficult county to place in terms of region. The SE I would say IS East Anglia, the SW falls into the East Midlands. The very northern part for me would be the NE of England. Maybe where Indy has gone missing from could be seen as the East Midlands?

I'm coming back to Indy's page a number of times a day hoping that she has been found. Hope you get a positive sighting of her soon x

All 3 postings on the 3 missing whippets now definitely on the Scruples FB page. Somehow they had ended up in a spam folder, but they have now been added by Scruples.
Whippetlover
That's very strange because I can see the posts I have left. Please can somebody else check. This is the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/scrupleswhippetrescue

Hi Whippetlover. Just been to take a look on Scruples Facebook page (and to check who you are!) but I can't see any post there about Indy, Zak and Dana.
Whippetlover
I have just shared details of the 3 missing whippets again on the Scruples Whippet Rescue Facebook Page.Last edited: 2011-08-25 17:31:39 by Whippetlover

Have now posted details of all 3 missing whippets (Indy, Zak and Dana) on The Whippet Forum. So hope Indy and the others turn up soon.
whipmum
why not post the alert that Indy is missing on the Whippet forum and also contact the secretary of the east anglian whippet Club----Alanya Morland-Allen who lives in that area I beleive they have their own club website tel number 01775841765 or email gunhounddog@aol.com and they maybe able to help by alerting members and adding details to their web site, Heather

Well done Phebe and Wispa. Really hope Indy will soon be home.
DogLostOwl
Went out to search this evening and Wispa found a good trail at once which led out of the farm and along a road for a short while before turning off left into a big commercial plantation of young willows. We followed earth tracks through this, then out on to a single track lane. Indy's mum went back to fetch the car to follow us in it, as it looked as if we were in for a long haul. The scent went along this lane for a long way, round a bend, then when we were in sight of the main road the trail turned left again across fields. At this point Wispa had done at least 1 1/2 hrs and I don't let her work longer because she can get mentally tired and lose accuracy. So we did lots of calling and whistle blowing there and left it to Indy's family to pursue this track further. If no luck tomorrow I can return on Friday to pick up where I left off. The trail appears to be going round in a circuit which is what we would expect. Most of the crops have been cut, so apart from the willow plantation and some small woods, everything is just pale fawn coloured stubble fields so a fawn whippet is not going to show up easily. Plenty of drinking water there for her, fortunately.Last edited: 2011-08-24 22:17:12 by Owl

Maggie
i think region should be East Anglia? Brattleby is in Lincoln
Maggie
I forgot to say that Indy's owner doesn't have a photo of her so i have asked Emily if she can look on the internet for a dog which looks simular to her (colouring ect) which she will do later on tonight.
Maggie
I have phoned emlybob, who was looking after Indy while her owners were on holiday, owner of Indy is aware of her going missing.
Emily who was looking after Indy at the time of her going missing was attending to her horses at the time,Emilys own dog was also with her,she was sorting her horese out and when she turned round Indy was gone but her own dog (Patch) was still there. Emily thinks that Indy and patch my of gone for a little wander around and Indy may not of realised that Patch had left her side. Indy doesn't know the area where the yard is so she wouldn't know how to get back to the yard. The area which Indy went missing is a woody area, loads of tracks, woodland which Indy isn't familliar with.
Emily's contact dog warden, vets, rescue which is close by where she lives, contacted the police incase someone hands her in, asked local radio to put an alert out, she is doing everything she can to find Indy.
Indy's owner came back of her holiday and went straight out looking for Indy.
Indys chipped!! Also her belly can be a bit tender if touched!
Emily and Indy's owner are desparate to find her and are getting more concerned as the days go by. I advised Emily that i would send her a mail with some info and advice, also said that if they had any sightings of her to post on here and someone who's experienced with scenting would get intouch with her.
I hope Indy is found very soon x
Maggie
