The owner had several people respond to posters and leaflets yesterday saying that they have seen a dog very like Peg around the heath area last week and Saturday a lady stopped while they were doing the leaflets saying she had seen it Saturday morning.

The owner's friend has just called and there has been a sighting of a loose Border Collie hanging around the woods at Hevingham, at this stage we are unsure if it is Peg (be wonderful if it was!) but there are no other Collies reported missing in the area.
The owner's friend will be putting posters up in this area tomorrow....

There has been a positive sighting of Peg this morning in Horsford woods, the owner's friend has been putting food out for her for a while now and we are sure Peg is the one taking it!
Now trying to organise a trap so we can set it over the weekend.

Posters and flyers ammended to add the latest sighting of Peg on Mill Lane Horsford and also asking if seen to contact the owner immediately.
Teddys Mum - Area Volunteer, West London
Good there are repeated sightings. I would suggest, if you have not already done it, is to plot all sightings on a map and join them together. It will probably form a triangle. She will be moving within this area only. Quite usual behaviour for a dog on the run. If you look at the time and dates of the sightings you may be able to preempt her arrival at one of these points and be there too with scenting, food etc., But please dont be upset when she does not run to you with immediate recognition. This is usual behaviour for a dog that has been running for 2 months. A good ploy if you do see her, is to lay down and whimper, dogs are very curious and she will approach. She will get your scent, whisper gently to her and offer food on your hand. Always works. Good luck and I hope you have her home very soon.

Good news there has been another sighting of Peg, it's just a shame you wern't alerted to this straight away as we need to be one step ahead of her! Good that she's staying in the area though.

Have spoken to the owner's friend and Peg has only been seen once, the food that they are leaving is being taken but unsure at the moment if this is Peg.
Posters have been refreshed in the area and the owner is walking the woods with his other dog on a daily basis, I have suggested that once we have more sightings maybe having a barbeque to entice her out. Hopefully we will get more sightings of her very soon x
DogLostHelen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
There has been a very positive sighting of Peg, Tuesday evening 7pm, Green Lane Carpark, Horsford. People who saw the dog are positive its her! She has not been seen since but the owner's have been putting food out and going back to check regularly.
Praying this is Peg and she will be home very soon xxx

Thank you nelehstephens for posting and making us aware of these 2 dogs....I know there is a Border Collie breeder living around the Cove Hithe area but can't imagine that these were his dogs running loose, please if anybody see these 2 dogs again contact Dog Lost on 0844 800 3220.
nelehstephens
I'm sorry It dosen't seem like either of the dogs I saw were your Peg but you never know and it has been on my mind since..so I'd rather tell people about it
nelehstephens
Yesterday I went to Cove hithe with my family and we saw two border collies walking up the beach heading North. One was short coated and I thought she looked like she possibly had not long her pups as from a distance she looked like she had been in milk, the other dog was long coated he/she went and sat infront of my son who was playing about on the beach...we presumed they were with someone as they headed off..but couldn't see anyone they might belong to. The short coated female lead them off North towards Kessingland. They didn't look in the best condition...I wish I had tried to get closer to them but they were gone so quickly and the female was quite aloof so I don't think I would of been able to get hold of her.

That's such a shame it wasn't Peg.
Yes it seems that the working breeds are being targeted at the moment, we have one of the border collies registered on here (Chunky) and also 3 Labradors all from the same area.
spike
no but steve had a call from someone at marsham which isnt far away they had found a tri border but it turned out not to be her we think it could have been the same dog that was seen in hevingham woods i have heard of two more missing border collies in the norwich area in the last week wich is worrying hope they arent being targeted
DogLostHelen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
