Owners, as my text message, please know sweet Angel is now safe in God's arms. I am so very upset by this outcome but also grateful that she managed to get herself found - what a clever girl she is. Sometimes God has to take our special ones back quickly so they don't suffer, but it is because they have already earnt their wings. Please look after your other dog baby, he will be scared and grieving too. A real Angel in heaven now, looking after you from above until you are all renunited once more, never to be parted ever again. God bless you all. With love, Kim x

So sorry Angel didn`t make it home to her family. Angel is now an Angel in God`s heaven, where she will be looking over her family to give them the strength they need at this time. She is still near you and one day you will be reunited with this lovely girl. Sending you healing thoughts for your sadness, and loads of hugs from me. THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

It is with the deepest regret to be moving Angel to Rainbow Bridge. I've been waiting for her owner to get back after receiving the sad news from Angel's owner on Fri 30.12.11.

6 weeks of Angel missing, a man who lived local to where she went missing saw a poster of Angel and directed owner to her body which was found next to the railway. The line bordered a field which was almost uncrossable by humans as was high with corn at the time she went missing. Angel was taken home and laid to rest.

Owner is deeply upset and would like to pass on their thanks to DogLost and all helpers.

Many thanks to the kind Samaritan who seen the poster and contacted her owner.

Deepest thoughts are with Angel and her owner at this very sad time. x

I have just spotted a female white shepherd on Rochdale Dog Rescue on facebook. Posted on 6th Sep. Says she has now gone to rescue as was unclaimed. Looks like she has brown tinges to ears. Please take a look just in case as although they look similar to me I am sure you will know straight away if it is her.

Still looking and still postering but not sightings. Have started postering on the bridges and pubs along the canal in case she was picked up by one of the barges. Postered the vets. Has the West Lancs Dog Warden been contacted? I will contact the Sefton Dog Warden tomorrow as Burscough is close to Southport.

Owner has been distributing posters especially today and yesterday with it being Bank Holiday. They have been to Halewood and Leigh Dogs home today which are both used by the local Dog Wardens in Sefton and Lancashire. Unfortunately South Ribble RSPCA was CLOSED today but they will go there Thursday and will ring them again tomorrow. Owner has tried to post on the Dog Lost to thank DL and everybody who has become involved and left comments, but has been unsure how to do post even when I have logged in........

I've tried to make contact tonight by phone by no answer. Also called into Halewood RSPCA today to look for any possible matches. Will check if Angel has been in the paper yet or if not ask owner again to try them.

The possible sighting J MO seen a couple of week ago of a white GSD with a young lad could of been Angel. x

Thanks for the post J MO, I have said to owner that she would stand out as White GSD's normally do. Posters and media are the key to getting sightings of Angel. Someone could well have taken her in thinking she has been abandoned especially if her coat is looking grubby due to be out and she may have also been in mud/water. x

Spoken to one of her owners and I've updated the details.

They have contacted Leigh Cats & Dog's Home, Halewood RSPCA and local RSPCA. She wandered off from the workplace with their chocolate Labrador, he later returned, it is unusual for her to not be with him. Owners have checked all by the canal and have started putting posters up in the area. There was an add in The Champion and Ormskirk Advertiser. They are going to put her on Facebook and I will also start spreading the word.

Given owner further advice and did email info/advice to her other owner earlier today. There is details in the email of places to contact further afield. I've explained to owner the 7 day ruling if she has been picked up and rehomed. I will do various size posters a.s.a.p. now that we have more details. Keeping everything crossed she is back home soon. x
