- Other Info He ran away from a field while walking him and his brother, while looking for him, a man approached us and said that a lady had found him nearby and picked him up in her car. This was at 12:15pm Sat August 27th on the A350/Bath Road/W Cepen way/A4 intersection roundabout in Chippenham. The man said the lady was taking him to the RSPCA in Corsham which we found out doesn't exist, so haven't been able to locate her or the dog. We are hoping she may see this posting and get in touch.Thank you.

- I dont know about that Cat I have asked?
Speak with DW tomorrow he will know who to contact - 2011-08-29 18:58 cat
- We just got a call from one of the people who helped round him up him on Saturday. He had been on the road, and a bunch of people had stopped to catch him. He said a young girl took him, and said she was going straight to the Bath RSPCA, she was in a silver vauxhall corsa. I'm hoping he makes it there. I'm going to go there tomorrow and check in person. I knoe they have a flyer, and I spoke to them, too. Is there any other rescue/kennel/vets in Bath I should try?

- Well done Cat you are doing a fantastic job!

- Yes, Thank you! I actually just spoke again with Bath Cats and Dogs home, they have all my info, and confirmed he is listed in their lost book . I have someone checking my sister's answer machine regularly, and calling if there is any attempt to contact her.

- also e mailed helpers in BA1,2,14,15. Have you tried Bath cats and dogs home...even if there was a local RSPCA their usual policy is not to take in strays .

- Just a thought. If Chester is your sisters dog would anyone who has found him be trying to ring her contact number at home and not get an answer as she is away.

- I spoke with Oak Trees, they were very helpful, but sadly didn't have him. They took my info in case.

- Hello, I am the one looking for Chester! Thank you everyone! We are so grateful.I am working my way through the local kennel list, and will resume calling all the vets and holding kennels tomorrow when they are taking calls again after the holiday. We are adding more flyers today, too. He is chipped, and we are trying to find out the information for that. Chester is my sister's dog, she is on holiday. So you can imagine we are frantic to find him. Thank you!!

- Is there an RSPCA officer in Corsham maybe???
Thanks Nina yes owner now knows about Oak Tress xLast edited: 2011-08-29 10:15:20 by Reynard - 2011-08-29 10:12 Nina
- Have just looked at the Corsham area and there is a dog kennels/rescue called Oaktree Kennels, Kingston St. Michael, Chippenham...could they be worth a call.
- 2011-08-29 09:58 Reynard
- Thanks Jayne!
I would say the lady said "I am on my way to Corsham and will take him to the/a RSPCA", rather than there IS one at Corsham and I will take him there,,,,,,,,,,,maybe!
I have spoken to Chester's 'owner' there were two dogs being walked Chester has no ID on him but is beleived to be chipped but its been difficult to trace 'Owner'is doing a fantastic job Seb has been informed the local Dog Warden Police Vets etc . Lets hope Chester turns up on Tuesday when things are back to normal because of the Bank Holiday w/e!Last edited: 2011-08-29 16:39:26 by Reynard - 2011-08-29 09:14 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Poster e mailed to helpers in SN12,13,14,15.
- 2011-08-29 09:13 Mandy (Wiltshire)
- I don't think so. Horsham is over 100 miles away from here, whereas Corsham is the next town and only a few miles along the A4 from the roundabout.
- 2011-08-28 23:21 zen
- i thought that too shereen, isnt that where the RSPCA head office is?
- 2011-08-28 22:54 Shereen
- Could that of been Horsham R.S.P.C.A ????
- 2011-08-28 22:25 Reynard
- Have sent the owner an email with advice.
