- Fantastic news! Well done to all involved and thumbs down to the council for letting poor owners live in so much distress for so long. But, a happy ending! I shall now e-mail owners with advice on the breath thing! :-) Welcome home, Norman! x

- I cannot believe this has happened..a formal complaint needs to be made to the council/dog kennels.
I wonder how many other owners have never got back their dog because it was listed as being the wrond sex!
I am just so happy to have helped. What a shame the kennels are are now closed, as I bet the owners are dying to see Norman again.
I saw on the council website that you have to pay to retrieve your dog?I think the owners should definitely be excempt from paying this, due to all the heartache they have had to endure not knowing that their dog was actually safe and well!Last edited: 2011-08-30 16:42:38 by lovemydoggies - 2011-08-30 16:41 lovemydoggies

- Norman has been found 100% certain now. Council screwed up, they have had him since Friday night, but said no as someone who couldn't tell a dog with a massive pair of balls is a boy, and listed him as female. HE IS 100% FOUND SAFE and will be collected tomorrow due to the councils screw up the kennels are in Windsor and close at 16:30 today, so not going to get there in time to get him.
Again, We can not thank Ruth aka lovemydoggies for all her help. - 2011-08-30 15:50 Linsie
- ok we are 85%-90% certain that we have him and the council had him this whole bloody time and listed him as a female! Not quite sure how considering he is a well endowed boy!!!!(not been done). A MASSIVE Thanks to the amazing Ruth (lovemydoggies) who found him on Friday and called the council she is amazing and even took pictures of him before handing him over to the dog warden. once he is completely confirmed as it being Norman I will post an update.

- I've just had a call from the council to ask whether the dog I found was def a male...as they are saying that they have it down as being a female??I told them that Im sure it was a male.He did indeed have smelly breath and on his front paw there looked to be some sort of wart on there.
He was wearing a ROGZ dog collar, similar to the one my dogs wear.....the lady at the council is trying to find out now whether the dog they took in was indeed male....fingers crossed!!!Maybe someone has entered it down on the computer system as being female by mistake....

- Hi there..I think this must be the dog I found on Friday night..He ran across the road as I was driving, by Bracknehlae school..He had a collar but no tag. I brought him back to mine and called the dog warden, who arrived at about 11:30pm.....I've just called the council to find out if his owner had come forward and they said they hadn't heard anything BUT then told me a lab had been logged as lost on Friday night, so i told them that it must be the lab that I found.....I hope he is ok. He was a lovely boy and enjoyed eating my two dogs food and raiing their toy/bone Basket!!Hopefully he is reunited with you now and will be soon....just hope that if either of my dogs got lost someone would stop to help them...the car that was driving in front of me didn't bother to stop and the dog ran right out in front of them!

- Owners, you need to get those posters out there NOW. Poster anything you can - you need hundreds if you can. Posters get sightings and sightings lead you to your dog. When he comes home, I can help with the cough and the breath! :-) Come on everyone, let's get Norman home! x
