Mylo's mum has not been able to log in due to computer problems. We had possible sightings of him again at original address. There is a black whippet there but he is not Mylo. However the people do call him Mylo!! So they have obviously picked his name up and are now using it to confuse the issue. We think that they may have swapped Mylo for this one because of all the local interference they were getting. Perhaps if we could find out where they got their replacement whippet from, we may be nearer to finding out where our Mylo has gone to. We are still trying and will report again soon. Any suggestions much appreciated. We have asked for Mylo's details to be included in Dog Pages and the Rescue pages which recently located the little dog missing fromSouthampton and found in Hereford.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jester's mum and Candy - tks for your messages of help. We are in contact thru a third party with the group Mylo was last seen with. Have offered incentive for him to find out where Mylo was taken to. He said he would try to find out and let us know. Will report back as soon as we have any news.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have replaced posters Hope Under Dinmore last Sat. and again this morning. This is the only area now where they are continually taken down. New adverts going into local press this week. Our lookout Farm at Hope-under-Dinmore says that no dogs have been seen at the site since the police call but now they are starting to bring their ferrets out and they think the dogs will be next. This is the only area where we had three positive sightings before the police visit when he was moved or possibly sold on.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Keep at it... remind the people who have removed the posters that you're still looking.... as we all are. Come on Mylo, get yourself home xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Revisited sites postered previously. Posters at Dinmore and Barons Cross sites removed. Replaced today. Posters at Moreton had been left alone. Will recheck again Sat a.m. Jeanne.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dee, have been out early this a.m. postering Hope-Under-Dinmore where Mylo was sighted also the nearby garage used by the travellers. Also Bakers Cross Estate nearby where there are gypsies and Moreton-on-Lugg. Posters follow your suggestions. Any more advice on what might happen next? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

That advice would be exactly right. On posters outside travellers sites put only 4 things - a big pic of the dog. The phone number in big letters and the reward (don't go mad with it, you only want an invitation to commence negotiation of a reward), in big letters. Don't put stolen, just put "Missing" or "Lost" - because after all whoever brings him back will have found him, they won't have stolen him (!!).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dee, would you recommend offering money at this stage. Someone suggested putting a big ?100 on the top of the poster as many of the travellers do not read or write?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I don't think i would recommend NOT postering. He's probably been moved because the police were looking - that frightens travellers. You need to invite them into a dialogue with you - the way to do that is posters... give them a reason to call you, a big pic of the dog and a phone number... no threats of police action (whether you take any or not).. just an invite to talk to you. Once you've had a call, that's when you can look to get Mylo back because you can reel them in. Just a thought - it's a pattern we see over and over and over again with this kind of theft.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Mylo's Mum. We are still monitoring area Mylo last seen. He may have been moved for time being due to police interest. Our 'spotter' in the location has confirmed another site frequently visited by suspect which we will check out tonight. We're deliberately not postering the area so that they think all is well and bring him back. We all miss him - his brother has an old jumper they played with. He seems to use it as a comfort blanket - probably still has Mylo's scent on it! We also have Mylo's father so this has really split up the family -it's devastating. Thanks for all your support everyone. JeanneQLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner is monitoring and has contacts that are asking around the area she thinks the dog is. Police have so far been very helpful in this case.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
