I have put appeals on the following Facebook pages

https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/270158526343032/
https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/doglostcentral/
https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/168208779917045/

If you know that Spike is on any other Facebook pages it would be helpful if you could either copy the appeal message or let me know. Thanks

Some messages have now been removed so that we can start afresh and concentrate on trying to locate Spike's owners.

Just to recap on things so that it's clear what's happening here:
Only dogs where we have the owners phone number are registered on DL as we need to be able to contact the owner. In this case Spike will stay on for the time being while we attempt to find a contact for the owner.

The landline is for Dog Lost and the mobile is for AntheaB. Jayne has done alerts and Angus will check kennels and maybe be able to get the owners number from them. I will put an appeal on all the Dog Lost Facebook pages that I do and also on this page in a minute.

Fingers crossed that if Spike's owners are using the internet to try to find him they will see one of our messages and get in touch.

OK folks, this page is going to be edited shortly so that we're back on track and then we'll see what we can do to trace Spike's owners
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Poster e mailed to helpers in NN10,15,16,29,8,9. Also have you checked our found dog s....Angus visits the local kennels for this area every Monday and puts photos and details on site so she will look out for Spike.

Anthea - I will speak to the local kennels and see if he has been reported as missing to them & if they will give me a contact number
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Of course we wnat to help find the dog and will e mail details to our helpers...it is our policy to have a direct contact number but we can use yours if wanted anthea. For now we will use ours and update on here for you if any sightings. It upsets our volunteers to see people being directed towards an expensive service when they give their time freely to help.
AntheaB
it's ok sue - i didn't explain myself very well! I'll email you,let you know about the mobile x
B30
Thanks Anthea, I'd just realised that the landline is for AS UK. Do you know who is the mobile?
B30
Will try to contact owner.

Sorry to see that SPIKE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (32378)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
