- Thank you we are going to contact the dog warden again + contact the one in Kirklees area. We have already contacted Alfies boarding kennels and ponderosa etc.
We are contacting all the kennels in kirklees area now, as the pcso said that the people who took him know someone who owns a kennels in Huddersfield. - 2011-09-05 07:37 Maggie
- I've added Busters LOST details on AW site

- I was going to post Ponderosa's details, but see you have Phoenix. The Wakefield Dog Warden's no is 08458 506 506 which is the switchboard, you might have to wait a bit to be put through to a warden. You could ask if they have him, and/or find out the names of kennels in Huddersfield. Good luck, Jytte, Pontefract

- There used to be a kennels in Huddersfield that took strays but it has closed down, not sure if there is another now. Definitely worth calling other stray kennels;
- Fleet Kennels in Queensbury 01274 880408 (Bradford and Calderdale). They are very helpful
- Alfies Boarding Kennels in Tong (Leeds strays out of hours) 07961 810
- Mount Pleasant Kennels in Doncaster (Leeds and Wakefield Strays) 01302 722748279
These are the ones I know of, not sure if there are others. There is a rescue in Castleford but don't think they take in strays - Ponderosa 01977 552303.
There is also K-nine-care on 01484 846228 / 07711 617148 which are in Huddersfield. (I think this is their current number, but sure. Got it from a rehoming site and it was an old post).
Good luck x Last edited: 2011-09-04 23:38:47 by Phoenix57 - 2011-09-04 22:49 Michelle+Stuart

- Ah, I have been at the other side from Xscape this morning, but only just seen this. Dogs/people can get safely under M62 via B & Q carpark, but there is a railway line too. Hope he doesn't go there, will advise people when I go tomorrow, and have a look around, lots of areas a dog could go, fields etc.
