- Owner left message on my phone to say that 2 sets of people have searched that area today but sadly drawn a blank.

- Wispa and I went to the woods, gave her Poppy's coat to sniff and she got a match right away. Trail led to the pond as we would expect and then round the pond to an area of woodland which Wispa circled once back to the pond, then went round again showing a smaller area. Wispa checked all exits from this wood and didn't find any trails leading away from it. There seemed to be lots of trails criss crossing and when Wispa finds this situation she circles round the area moving inwards. I have recommended owner to get some people together tomorrow and search. The area is not huge but there is a fair bit of undergrowth, plenty of places for a small dog to hole up. Wispa can't search undergrowth easily, she is too big. Have recommended frying up some bacon or sausage on picnic stove or disposable barbecue.
