Thanks Kelly for looking out for KILO and emailing into DL Admin. I have sent a msg to number above for an update and alerted owner to the FOUND. Fingers crossed their contact number is still valid. Lots of dogs are being found and chip has never been registered, owner was advised to contact the chip co to report him missing and check details are up to date.

Great you have now spoken to owner Maggie.

Fingers crossed Kilo has been picked up and is in MDH and so important family do visit the kennels and any other surrounding ones at least once a week.

If someone owner knows could print off a few posters they could possibly get some copied in a local library, printers etc. I will do various size ones a.s.a.p. and update the details to show up on his poster. x

I have now spoken to Kilo's owner. They have recently moved but only a few streets away from where they lived before, he's not a dog that wanders off and someone is always out with him when he is out. Kilo got out when a family member opened the door, they shouted him but he never came back, they left it for about a hour with the door left open and he still didn't return. They have looked everywhere for him but no sign, Kilo is known by all the people around where they live and they haven't seen him either!
Kilo wasn't wearing a collar at the time he went missing.

Kilo's owner doesn't have any internet access or computer so can't print of his poster. He's been intouch with a manchester dog warden and also contacted Manchester Dogs home, he is going to go to Manchester dogs home tomorrow to see if hes there.

Kilo is chipped so i have advised them to contact the chip company to let them know he is missing!! i have also given him a couple more numbers to ring, different Dog Wardens near to his area, also given him rescues to contact, given him petmedics to contact too.
He is trying to find a photo of Kilo but not found it as yet so ive advised if he could use a friends pc to look for a simular looking dog to put on here untill they find one of him.
It would be great if people could help with putting posters up once we have a photo, also if people could help by sharing him on sites too would be fantastic. I will put his details on AW site and a few FB groups.
They are desparate to find Kilo, the kids are missing him tooLast edited: 2011-09-05 21:52:17 by Maggie

Sorry to see that KILO is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (32458)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
