Portia is home! She was found in Hayle by the dog warden, wearing a blue collar, but with no ID. From there she was taken to the NAWT in Hayle. They rang the owner, believing they had found Portia, but the owner didn't think it was her because of the blue collar, and the distance involved. The owner's daughter followed this up today, and it was, indeed, Portia. Welcome home, Portia, and please stay safe from now on.

No news at all on Portia. I am pretty certain she has been stolen, and am advising the owner to try and get a feature in the West Briton. Radio stations were done initially - thanks, Bestdogs. Am waiting to hear if the owner has managed to get a Crime Reference Number from the police.

Portia has been missing now for 8 days. She vanished from the garden of her home in the Manor Road area of Camborne at around 2.30-3.p.m. on the 30th/31st August. Her collar and ID tag were found lying in the garden, so there is every chance that she has been stolen. Portia is a very small Jack Russell, and despite her young age, she had previously had a litter of pups, but lost them all. Her teats were still prominent when she disappeared. Portia does not know the local area, as she is always taken out in the car. There is a footpath at the end of the garden, so any dog in the garden would have been clearly visible to passers by.
