- FOUND
female Cocker Spaniel type with very bad mange.
No micro-chip. Been used for breeding. - Looks between 2-5 years old.
Would be very difficult to identify I know. Shame no micro-chip.
Has a place in rescue after 7 days if not claimed. Could be a stolen dog?

- Hi Corinne.Sorry to hear Stella is missing, could be with my dog Josh.I would ring Ashbourne Police 0345 1233333 and mention Josh to them (Crime No:30522/11),as he is very well known to PC Richard Wilson and WPC Sarah Sims who have been brilliant and supportive throughout my/Josh's ordeal.I will keep an eye out for her,as it is fairly local for me.Take Care and stay positive.Bob.

- Corinne any wiser as to whether Stella was stolen or lost?If stolen is it possible by the same people who stole Josh who is also a golden cocker spaniel also from DE6. My thinking is the thieves would have a breeding pair! Stella looks like a worker and Josh maybe show type.If you think this could be the case it wouldnt do you any harm to speak to Bob,Joshes owner. Good luck gail xxx

- Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your support. I'm out searching for her whenever I'm not in work so not able to get to check my messages very often. My friend will keep checking for me so please don't stop with any suggestions and information. I'm absolutely gutted and can't sleep at all because she sleeps on my bed at night and she's a really anxious dog when away from me.
Just want her back... :-( - 2011-09-14 08:09 rottie

- I hope that Stella is back soon.
Poster all you can and talk to everyone that you see telling them to look out for her. We have done this for our Cocker, one man in the village over is contstantly asked by walkers if his dog is actually Poppy our missing dog, I am sure that he will go into hiding soon. Others we have 'met' through this website are helping in our search and have been a great source of support and an extra pair of legs to spread the word and print and put posters up.
Good luck my thoughts are with you and Stella. - 2011-09-13 16:21 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

- Sorry to see that STELLA is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (32647)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
