We actually said if he was really interested in having a dog we knew plenty that we'd seen at Manchester dogs home and we could take him to go and have a look if he like but the guy just thanked us and didn't jump at the chance. :(
I cried each and everytime we went to manchester dogs because it was just so heart stopping seeing all those loved pets so distressed about being away from their owners. X

lillisa88, brilliant news that you are getting Roxy microchipped. If you haven't already made that appointment Manchester Dogs Home do microchipping for just £5, no appointment necessary just turn up. Know it is a bit of a trek from where you are but it depends how much it is costing you locally. This is the link to the details

And thank you for staying on with DogLost, the more helpers the better. Fundraising is a wonderful idea and I am quite local to you so could help out too if you let me know when and where - as long as its not running up hills, far too many of them around here lol :) xxLast edited: 2011-09-21 21:32:10 by Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester

Well done everyone especially the person who made that all important call - maybe the finder would be able to adopt a poundie if they were pointed in the right direction

Hi guys
Thank you so much for all your lovely messages.
We've already been in touch with the warden and we're going to make an appointment for the chip to go in to help us if it reoccurs in future.
We're looking at doing some fundraising to help doglost keep on helping others the way you have us! Thank you so much!

Yeh!!! Posters working again, well done whoever made the call, did the man who had Roxy not report him to anyone?? At least he was looked after, maybe he can still visit in the future?

ROXY IS ON HIS WAY HOME. Owner went to the address given to her and there he was. He went mad at the sight of them. The man who had him was a bit tearful but handed him over.
A big thank you to the person who made the call after seeing a Doglost poster.
AlisonH
Owner has had a call from someone giving her some information as to the whereabouts of Roxy. Have advised her to speak to the dog warden and the local PCSO to get their help and advice.

Just had a call from a lovely couple informing me they believe they may have seen Roxy on Friday near the bottom of Ripponden Road near the rippon cafe, if any else knows anymore information that could help us please call the number. Thank you!
lillisa88
We have phoned the dogwarden regarding these two posts and unfortunately it isn't Roxy but good news is that those dogs have been reunited with their owners.

Thank you for your support,
Lisa x

Flyers made up and emailed to owner along with general info.

Just phoned and have been told that Roxy wandered off from the garden of the house he is staying in while his owners are away travelling. Am going to make up fliers for them to distribute as the house is surrounded by open farmland. Have advise they search ditches and hedge bottoms as Roxy is an old boy and could have fallen if he is exhausted. They have been to visit Manchester dogs home but sadly he was not there.
