"Cassie went back to the vets again yesterday and it wasnt such good news. At the beginning of last week her lump (which is thought to be a tumour) fell off much to the amusement of us all but it now seems her inner ear has become infected again and the lump is growing back. Cassie has been put back on ear drops but we would like her to have the lump removed asap (we were waiting for her to be spay...ed and have it done at the same time but we and the vet think it would be best done asap) and investigated. Unfortunately this isnt something we usually would be able to do but I think it is important to find out if it is cancerous and need help to raise the funds for this, we have had a quote to do this of £250.00. Donations can be sent via paypal at scpfunds@yahoo.co.uk or over the phone to our vets at Companion Care, Truro on 01872266002 sure you state its for Cassie Hoole, Second Chance Poundies (if you can then email me at secondchancepoundies@yahoo.co.uk I can then keep a track of whats been paid). Cassie we believe will need ongoing care indefinately and we are committed to giving her whatever she needs, we gave her a second chance and slowly but surely she is getting better we just need to sort this lump! Thank you"

I like the one where she's having her chest rubbed - it must be lovely for her after being in such a state to realise that hands can be gentle. She looks a lot smaller when there's a hand in the picture. She's a little love! xx
AlisonH
God bless the poor little mite. She looks much more comfortable in the FB photo. Hope she is well enough to go to a new home soon.

Does anyone details for this rescue other than via Facebook.

Wishing Cassie all the luck in the world, she deserves it and I so hope she has a happy ending Mx

There is a new photo of Cassie here:

The people who've neglected her so badly should be sought. Someone must know something.
(Is there any possibility of this being bumped please?)Last edited: 2011-09-25 21:05:33 by jobadger

Cross-posted from Cassie's Facebook page today:
Cassie today has been to our vets and we have had it confirmed she is not a well doggie. Cassie has 3 skin scrapes which are at the moment showing clear but time will tell. She does has a severe skin problem possibly an allergy, she is having regular baths with special shampoo to help her skin and coat. Her left eye is infected and is turning in on itself the right is infected but not as much as the left. Her left ear has an absess/ulcer which will need operating on once it has dried up and has germaline being applied. On top of that she has an inflation of the back passage which will need draining. Cassie is on anti b's to cover eye and skin and eye drops to left eye. On top of that the vet confirmed the poor little one has had countless litters :-(
We are setting up the Cassie Appeal to pay for her on going treatment and would love your support to get this little girl back to health.

Please go to her page:

(It's Second Chance Poundies who have the 'Pound for Poundies' appeal.)

Sorry Reynard. Didn't mean to stand on your toes. Just wanted to find out where to send some pennies - I didn't want whoever was taking her to be worried about the cost of her care. So pleased she's feeling a little better. Jo xxLast edited: 2011-09-20 20:01:02 by jobadger

I've been trying the above numbers all day - Swindon Council - but the lady I need to speak with hasn't been available. Does anyone know which rescue this little one is with? It's not mentioned on the Needy Dogs FB page. Jo xx
nikkic
Shocking and sad :( does she have a rescue space?
Dog WardenCJW64
Bless her poor little girlie. Has she got a rescue to go to?
dewilliams42
POOR THINGS THEN-MAKES YOU WONDER WHAT SORT OF LIFE THEY'VE HAD. WHAT RESCUE HAS SHE GONE TO?
DogLostReynard
No I would say a chuck out or maybe x puppy farmed dog!
There have been two other dogs found in Swindon at the same time ,one an old Chihauhau and a Staff both in ill health!!!
dewilliams42
ITS SAD TO THINK THAT SOME LOST DOGS HAVE COME FROM LOVING HOMES AND ARE MISSING THEIR OWNERS BUT FOR SOME REASON HAVE'NT BEEN REUNITED. THIS LITTLE ONE MAY HAVE BEEN WANDERING FOR MANY MONTHS AND IS NOW A LONG WAY FROM HOME.
zeffi
What a sad little face. I hope she will get all the treatment she needs. I have had a look through the terrier crosses listed on here in case she might be one of the long lost ones, but can't find any in the last two years that match. Thinking she might be a much-loved pet looking much the worse for wear after being lost for a while, without having been neglected.
DogLostReynard
Post on here for info if you like :)

It is very true when they say there is no love like a dogs love. I do hope that she is being treated now and a lot more comfortable than she looks in these photos bless her. Makes youn just want to hug the little sweetheart. xx
jobadger
OMG - poor baby. Where is she - can donations be sent? Is there a paypal account? She's going to take time - and I bet through all of this her tail was still wagging. Says a lot about dogs - and unfortunately a lot about people. Jo xx It's Sunday morning and I can't get this poor girl out of my mind.Last edited: 2011-09-18 09:44:53 by jobadger

Awww bless her , how she must have been suffering........there is no need in this day and age for any dog to be allowed to get in this state.heres hoping she finds a forever home soon...xx
Unknown
Totally agree Julie B...Thank god she was found :)x
Julie B
This poor girl, how can people leave their animals to get in this state. It looks like she has been left to fend for herself for a long time. I hope that she has now gone to rescue she will be nursed back to health - and then she deserves a loving home where she is cared for as it clearly looks like this is something she has never had. xx
dewilliams42
POOR GIRL. THIS IS THE THIRD OLDER ONE-WAS JUST GOING TO OFFER TO FOSTER HER WHEN I SAW SHE HAD ALREADY GONE TO RESCUE.
DogLostReynard
She has already gone to rescue :)

Anyone has any info on her then please call above numbers or email , Thanks x
