Minnie..that is great news to hear you have Snoopy at home. Yesterday must have been some day for you all. I can imagine the tears you must have shed when you saw him in such a state, but with his family around him he will soon show signs of improvement..he must be a very resilient dog to have survived his ordeal. I am sure your little boy is giving him loads and loads of hugs and kisses to make up for those he has missed!! Get well soon Snoopy!

It is frightening to see that a dog can loae so much condition in only 2 months! He must have been completely deprived of food1 Hope he has the strength to pull through and begin to enjoy life again with lots of tlc
Neighbark
Well Sherlock, you've lived up to your name ! This is fantastic observation. It must have taken ages to plough thru' the history until u came up with the likeness. I've just looked up the online piccie and can't believe what I saw. I hope the bastard who did this rots in hell - this poor poor doggie. I just hope he survives and can once again enjoy the love and care that awaits him. I do feel sorry for his owners. When u compare the lovely cuddly little trusting puppy piccie...with the skeletal desperate picture, well it makes u want to find and punish whoever did this. I'm wishing and praying for his full recovery. Can we please be kept informed, and when he's better - can we eventually have a re-united picture please. Keep up the invaluable work Sherlock, hat off to you!

The girls!
Well done for making the connection that this was Snoopy. I've just looked at the article and was reduced to tears - cannot imagine how his owners feel. How,why would you let an animal get like this especially after going to the trouble of steeling him, surely if he was just straying he would have been catching odd meals being a lurcher and all. Thought & hoped I'd seen the worst with poor Comet but yet another - what is this world we live in. Please get better soon Snoopy, especially now you have found your home again x.
LYDNSYD
This is the best news ever - Yippeee!!! Well Done Sherlock - you are a STAR - well spotted. Poor Snoopy I guess we will never know what happened to him. I wonder if he got so thin due to being out on his own all this time or was it an act or cruelty. Anyway the thing that matters is that he is now with his family and will be spoilt rotten from now on. Have a wonderful life Snoopy and hope it won't be long until you are back to good health. Lots of Kisses xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLast edited: 2011-11-24 18:57:22 by LYDNSYD

Rarely do you see Sherlock shed a tear... but tonight... you got me. Welcome home Snoopy - thank you so much to the Kent Messenger, and the RSPCA for caring for him. A 4 yr old little boy has been made happy again.xx

owners are very upset at state of this dog . We should have an answer this afternoon when owners go to visit him. In mean time dog is safe and receiving care at the RSPCA centre.

WELL DONE SHERLOCK for making a match just by markings against a photo we have of stolen dog but as a puppy taken 15 months before stolen!!
pagandog
I just logged on to make sure the owners knew of this poor soul. So glad others are watching. It sure looks like Snoopy to me. Hope all ends well... for everyone.

Saw picture on tv last night .. sure hope it is Snoopy and that he can pull through after what must have been a terrible ordeal. Good luck.
Shereen
Good luck to the owner,im sure it will be understandably upsetting but Snoopys markings are very distinctive especially the spot near his back end.Hoping for a happy ending on this, fingers and paws crossed here in Oxfordshire.XXXX

Awful isn't it... owner understandly upset but very keen to see him. We need to be sure it is Snoopy but as you say the likeness is there. Will update as soon as I've heard more.
LYDNSYD
I felt compelled to look at the Kent online article and OMG this poor dog - I've never seen a dog is such a starved state!! I have to say there is a very good likeness to Snoopy. It would be magical if this was him but also so sad that he has had to endure this cruelty! Fingers crossed!!
