Hi :) I found diesel on sunday morning as i was walking my dog, he followed us for over an hour and then camped out and slept in my front garden all day. We fed and watered him and phoned out of hours warden, leigh dogs home, pet medics, rspca even posted on my FB page,but no one knew who he belonged to, so we let him in and he slept infront of fire all night :) he is such a loving dog I could tell someone must have been looking for him, so glad to have been able to keep him safe until warden could find his family :)

Have made contact with family to get more details. Diesel is 6 years old and children accidently left the gate open. He was wearing a collar but no ID.

If the finder had taken him into Leigh they would of scanned him. Due to Data Protection they cannot give details out unless finder etc gives permission.

I've had lots of dealings with Leigh and between us have reunited dogs, when I've had details of finders I've given Leigh permission for my details to be given and have been rung directly by owner's. Hopefully Leigh will be able to get in touch with the finder or finder will take him to be scanned and report him to the Dog Warden. x

Just heard back from Mojow1958, no luck so far although Leigh Cats and Dogs Home said that a lady had rang to report a found dog in this area matching Diesel but had refused to give any details?? Owner is following this up tomorrow.

Emma, I have given them your number to make sure they register Diesel with the council. And told them to get posters up in the area asap in case he has been taken in, get the word out where he belongs :)

Hey guys. I was literally in for 10 mins earlier when I saw the info on the AW site. Spoke to Mojow1958 and passed on the info. Just got in and not heard anything yet.

Thanks Emma, didn't realise this was one of your areas. Will have to make a note of which areas you cover, my apologies. Thanks for keeping an eye out for Diesel. I'm amazed the AW's won't work with you, doesn't make sense :(

Sorry to see Diesel is missing, we will keep an eye out on the found dog reports from the weekend to see of any belong to him. Can you please phone his details through to the Council on 0161 909 6500, it may also be worth phoning Bolton Council as well as it is close to the border there.

Please be aware that AW will not share any information with the Council, so even if we get a found dog which matches a description of a dog on their website we can not contact the owners this way. Have spoken to a lady at Leigh Cats and Dogs, where the dog would of gone if picked up in M38 but he's not there..The owner has made them aware the dog is missing..Hope the AW site brings some good news :)
