So pleased for you, have been following this story as I had a springer who had to be put to sleep in June, aged 16, they are really wonderful dogs so really happy that dear Barney is safe and well.

thanks everyone ! I have some wonderful news ........... Barney is home !!!!!!!! His owner just called me to say he was picked up in Denby Dale and then reunited via the dog warden and stray kennels. Thankfully he is none the worse for his ordeal. The car is still missing so it looks as though it was the car the thieves wers after in this instance. Welcome home Barney and please stay safe from now on xx

My son is a telecoms engineer working in Wakefield, Barnsley, Bradford and Leeds areas, he is going to keep a look out on his travels for Barney and the blue passat...any news yet x

Need to get this story in the local paper to spread the word as wide as possible if the sighting turns out not to be Barney. Also call every dog warden in neighbouring areas to alert them.

thanks smudge74 ! wickedweims has just phoned me about this sighting too and if this dog get picked up and taken to Spring street kennels she will let us know. I have informed Barneys owners of this sighting as there is a possibility it could be him

Oh this is so awful, wish I was closer to help find this poor lad. Hope the police are doing all they can to catch the thieves. I will still keep a look out for both Barney and the car in Newcastle/Durham area.

Barneys owners live fairly locally to me and I will be helping them to get a photo on his page later today.Barney was in a cage in the back of the estate car when it was stolen. The thieves may dump him so PLEASE LOOK out for him in your area !!
