Thanks. I was thrilled to hear he had a chip and was getting reunited. Not only so the dog goes home but the owners get their dog bak. Glad I could help. He loved Layla to bits, well a bit too much lol he wouldn't get off her... They wud have made nice pups if Layla hadn't been done! Had to separate them in the end lol. X

Louise - well done to you and OH for making sure that this lovely lad came to no harm and which then led to him being reunited with his owners (thank goodness for the power of the chip). What a lucky boy he was to bump into you. What did Layla make of him? It must be a really nice feeling and great that you had those oh so important contact numbers to hand.

Hey. Didn't want to mention in advert as I didnt want anyone to come on here and claim the dog was theirs but dog warden collected the dog about an hour after we found him last night. I emailed Tara and Graham as I had their details from when Layla went missing. Tara is currently on leave until October due to unforeseen circumstances but Graham replied to say that the dog had a chip and the owner was collecting this lunchtime :) so pleased he is getting reunited.. worst feeling ever loosing a dog! I had worries he was abondened because he had no collar but obviously not! :) xx Oh just to add to the first comment from Admin.... I phoned the council out of hours immediately however whilst waiting for the call back called local police who wasn't interested at all, I asked if they had a scanner so I could take the dog down to see if he was chipped but they wern't interested at all! Felt sorry for him going into the van but my partner did put a collar and lead on him and took him for a walk whilst waiting for the council to call back to see if anyone was out looking for him but didnt see anyone! xxLast edited: 2011-09-22 12:06:23 by Xlouise17x

Please report to the Croydon Dog Warden (Tara Boswell/ Graham Woodcock) on 020 8726 6000, choosing option 7 as the dog's owners may have reported him missing. They can also check if there is a microchip and it is the legal requirement to report a found dog to the council. Best of luck Louise.
