I am so terribly, terribly sorry. Please remember that you did find him! He got back to you so he can rest peacefully now, whilst he waits for you to complete your life journey and then you will all be together again one day. Just came across this report of young white husky type found in Durham 16 Nov: http://tinyurl.com/72g68wp. Location & "husky/akita" description leaves me doubtful it's Tyke, but colouring similar, & if stolen he could be anywhere - worth a check JUST in case? No photo yet, unfortunately.

Hoping little Tyke is reunited very soon...I have shared doglost page on various doggy related sites for all to pass on and share, if the owner would like to view or join any of these it would be a great help...lets make Tyke too hot to handle......shared on my own page, Alfieslostdogs, pets lost stolen found uk, and others! searching gumtree, oodle etc all the time....x

Owner has contacted Fleet Kennels and dog warden already, and has been postering everywhere.
I've sent information about hopefully getting a story in the local paper.
