- We have just received secondhand information that a yorky terrier was picked up today on Lawford Road in Rugby and handed into a nearby house where the lady said she would contact DW....have spoken to out of hours Community Dog Warden and no call has been logged with them. We are hoping to find out exact address first thing in the morning.....fingers crossed this is Moose!

- Heavily postered Brownsover yesterday and spoke to many people. A young girl who was with her mother reported that she had seen a dog matching this description at the end of Newton Manor Lane two days ago. I went there last night, but did not see anything. Jean then received a phone call today from a lady who's husband had nearly ran over a dog matching this description LAST NIGHT. A small group of us scoured the area this morning which is VAST woodland...but we have organised a more in-depth search for 4pm tonight. FINGERS CROSSED.Last edited: 2011-10-21 12:36:52 by JD

- Have postered Newton Village and spoken to loads of dog walkers in that area. Having spoken directly with the lady who spotted this yorky, I now think she could be in the next village, Brownsover, and so we are back there tomorrow to search/poster/talk to people. Whoever the yorky is, it was terrified apparantly and almost ran under the wheels of the spotters car...apparantly it was running very fast as if something was chasing it. Poor thing x

- We have just been informed that there was a possible sighting of Moose in Newton near Rugby on 9th Oct. This was two days after the first sighting and approx 5 miles away so sounds like same dog....posters going up in that area today and enquiries being made VIA fb....strangely, looking at the map and plotting the sighted dogs route, it is heading straight towards Cambridge....where Moose is from.....

- The possible sighting of Moose was more credible today when we did the search, as Jean actually bumped into the lady who had reported the sighting! There were about ten of us out for four hours - we have covered the whole of Hillmorton in posters and given out posters to canal users; dog walkers; builders; policemen and everyone else we met. No further news as yet, but Moose's face is everywhere...

- good news about the possible sighting - well done for organising a search JD - let us know how you get on

- Search is on Weds; meeting at 2pm and then again at 4pm at The Old Royal Oak, Crick Road, Rugby. Jean, her owner, will also be attending. The description of the dog is too similar to discount - wearing a collar with a frayed lead; bedraggled but similar colouring to dog in poster. Hope its her!

- Possible sighting of Moose on Friday afternoon in my home village which is about six miles as the crow flies along the river....heavily postering in the area tomorrow and have done a small search (on my own) but spoke to lots of dog walkers; knocked on doors etc....will be organising a search over next couple of days but would love another sighting first...come on Moose!

- Despite extensive searches of the immediate area, Moose remains missing. There are posters everywhere, all kennels, dog wardens etc are all looking out for her. We are at a loss as to what to do next?

- Jean is going to put add in local paper for Thursday's edition; Moose has not been taken to any vets in the area and no kennels in the Midlands has her.
- 2011-09-28 09:59 JD
- Have just spoken with Rugby Council - firstly, Moose is registered with them as male; secondly there is no dog warden available until Monday 3 Oct - no dogs being collected this week by Rugby....have phone Birmingham Dogs Home and reported her with them as Coventry Council will be collecting strays in this area and taking them to BDH this week.

- Went back to Bretford today and knocked on some doors; postered all surrounding villages; farms inbetween; horse yards where riders promised to look out for her; we spoke to loads of people; not one sighting yet. Moose now has a fb page https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Help-Find-Moose-Missing-Yorky-Terrier/121177891318637 - all vets and kennels in the area have been notified. We need to get out to Brinklow end tomorrow. 25 posters are up looking for her, if someone has her we have made her hot property! Rugby FM radio have been contacted - will see if they put it out x
