Don't worry. We won't give up on Kali, or any other missing dog.I read in the paper today about a dog who was found riding on a bus in the same neighbourhood 5 yrs after he went missing. There's always hope amd those of us in S Manchester will still keep a weather eye out for Kali I'm sure...

Tried to track this dog down yesterday, Animal wardens said it had been picked up in Wigan and woukld therefore go to Leigh Cats & Dogs rang them and they know nothing about it... said it was in Salford... Sound Familiar??? Tried Wigan Council for there Dog warden still waiting for a call back. In the days and age of technology why oh WHY can't there just be one central animal sight where ALL dos across the country are registered???? Would make everyones life so much easier!! Once again thanks to everyone for still looking, please don't give up!!!

Hi Kali I've spoken to Halewood RSPCA and they had one in on 7.11.11 and it was picked up and handed into the PDSA which looks like the one that is registered on the AW site Ref:250586 Postcode L36, she has been claimed by her owner and was mainly white. x

Ann received a phonecall today from a dog groomers in Manchester that a customer of theirs had been in today, seen Kali's poster and said she had taken her to Manchester Dogs Home yesterday. The groomers rang Ann and she went down to MDH but there were no dogs there like Kali. Ann rang the groomers from outside MDH to see if they could get in touch with their customer but to confirm the details to MDH but I have not heard from Ann since. Hoping Ann managed to sort this out but not sure of the outcome.

Have rung the Animal Wardens about both these dogs, one is at the RSPCA in Halewood, have rung the number given but can't get an answer! The other one they don't have any details on at the moment but Becky at Animal Wardens said she would ring me if it sounds like Kali when the info comes through. Thanks everyone, Keep trying.

I have today spoken to the landlord of the Kings Ransom Pub and it was NOT Kali. He confirmed that it was definitely a small white dog similar to a westie. He contacted the police and wardens but nobody was interested and by the time he went back out the dog had disappeared.

The search for Kali goes on, please do not give up hope just yet :)

Spoke to Waterways again today, but spoke to another person, a very nice friendly lady who was most helpful.She advised me that a small dog had been found dead in the canal 3 weeks ago alongside the Kings Ransom pub in centre of Sale.Unfortunately the dog had disappeared before anyone could get her.Have spoken to the barman who actually saw the dog and he was unsure if it was Kali as he thought it was white! It is rare to find dogs in the canal and all facts add up to it being Kali. This is very sad news , we are all very upset. We will still check homes put up posters just in case though.

Hi yes have checked Roads, Metrolink and Waterways and thankfully nothing. Did the dogs home again yesterday but still no news. I really think Kali has been picked up and someone has got her, could even of been a passing barge which means she could be anywhere by now. Don't really think she can be on our doorstep as there is to much publicity and lots of people all over the area looking out for her, would be difficult to take her out without someone seeing her. Just wish we knew where she was and that she is HAPPY and SAFE!!!

Have you checked with the Cleansing Depts of both Trafford and Manchester? They keep records of all dogs in RTAs. Hopefully that won't be the case but might be worth a check just in case...

Kali's mum, Kassi, our other Jack Russell is fretting so badly that she has now lost one of her front teeth. For a six year old dog she has very good healthy teeth and is not given sweet things, even as a treat, so the only thing i can think of is that she has lost this tooth through being stressed. Please someone find her baby!

Spoke to nice Barge couple in Dunham who were travelling between there and Sale so took poster details and will keep look out. Emailed poster to Pam at Water House Cruising Club at Stretford. The POSTCODE and DATE on the AW's site both cause lots of problems, they should have the MISSING/FOUND postcode as to exactly where they have gone missing/found and the date when missing/found not only the date details have been registered!!! DogLost have both dates in the details. x

Pet Medics are fantastic, do a brilliant job but why did the AW's not put that the dog was found in OL8 instead of M28 if they had the info???? Its about 15 miles between the areas, so misleading for owners :(

Pet Medics cover a very big area, they are one of the main out of hours vets, I always advise owners to check there. We have had a few missing end up in the vets and some of the staff do check DL. x

Have you put a poster up in the Watch House I think it's called, on the canal at Stretford? It's a pub/club for the barge owners along there. You do need to try the local papers too at this stage.They reach so many more people who wouldn't otherwise be aware of Kali.

Fantastic kali. The facebook page is picking up and people are sharing Kali's details. Manchester Dogs Home posted Kali's details (3,000 members) on their wall which is very unusual. Have been tweeting to different people, including @waterways members. Also Friends of the Bridgewater Canal have kindly sent an email to all their members. We keep going until Kali is found :) x

Hi all, MANY thanks for all your help so far.Got text 8th re a possible sighting Alma Rd,Sale lunchtime Friday 7th. Checked it out Saturday but no sign of Kali. Put new laminated posters up in that area and other surrounding roads. Checked all Dog Homes Saturday, no luck,so went into Manchester and put many more laminated posters up especially around canals/Northern Quarter(another sighting area!).Sunday cycled again along canal up into Manchester putting up new laminated posters, removing old tatty ones, along the way and then into Castlefield area.Will check canal Warrington direction in week and more local areas around Sale.x

Just an update...The family are going to replace posters tomorrow with laminated ones as some have weather damage..Highways and waterways have been contacted with no reportings..Have suggested to get intouch with Metro Link..Manchester Dogs Home will be visited tomorrow and Leigh Cats and Dogs will be contacted aswell..The family are doing a fantastic job in trying to find Kali..Hope there is some good news soon :)

Spent all weekend putting up posters along the canal from Sale. Been as far as Manchester Town Centre, Barton Bridge Warburton, Jacksons Boat Sale Water Park.Also been back to MDH but no luck. Just spoke to Kali's owner again. They have been to MDH and Leigh C & D Home and no luck so far. The below dog cannot be checked as the lady who originally reported it had given it to someone else before the dog warden got there!! The 'new' finder said they would report it to the DW but they haven't so far.

Keep positive Ann, you are doing all the right things and hopefully you will get some good news soon. Now get them posters up, anywhere and everywhere you can think of :) xx

The family should call into Abandoned Animals (Peggy Henderson's ) Sanctuary by Barton Bridge, Stretford. Somebody going to or from there just might have seen Kali running along the canal. Good luck in finding her. Fingers crosssed she is safely home very soon.

Have spoken to Kali's owner, Ann. They are visiting MDH today. Kali was last seen running along the canal, her family have been walking in both directions. They have been taking there other dog with them who is Kali's mum. They will ring me later with an update.
