Has owner confirmed? This is so sad. God bless you sweet Connie. Please tell Connie's owner that sometimes God take his special babies sooner than we would like, because they have already earnt their wings. Please let owner know Connie is safe now in God's arms until they are reunited - this time, never to part. Maybe if you are able, copy this page for owner - it will help to know others care. Thank you. God bless you sweet Connie and your loving owners. x

Have looked at these other posts and they don't sound or look like connie. She is West Higland as well, not a crossbreed terrier like those have been. Thanks for update however.
Neighbark
please look at similar white terrier found Doglost, 21.10 No. 33641 in Lincs.
Neighbark
It's probably too far from you to be her, but there's a white female terrier found on 15.10 in Beds. People who found are looking after, says to email them m_pursey@yahoo.co.uk - no piccie but its on National Pet Register. Just thought worth letting u know. good luck.

Hi flaggbag the gravel pits are just off the perry way on the way into frampton
DogLostNina
I dont know the area but have used google and found it may be called Frampton Court Lake and they have a web site. they are post code GL2. You may already know this area but hope this messae helps
zen
thankyou jakjeking, please can you tell me where the gravel pits are?
Jakjeking
Hi has anyone looked around the gravel pits at frampton. just a thought
zen
i have postered the area,by the anchor pub, and the ship inn also the cafe at saul junction and surrounding areas, and the heritage centre. i must say that this area has more than its fair share of westie, as they are nice size little dogs to fit on the canal boats, so i can see where the confusion may lie in sightings. we must have seen atleast 5 today in a short space of time, i also saw old greyman had postered heavily in certain areas... everyone we met was very helpfull. im just a little worried that we have had no firm sightings of this dear little dog since he went missing
OldGreyMan
Charlotte. DLost volunteers have achieved some amazing ‘finds’ in the past, but are also aware that, sadly, not all searches end happily. Also they understand that it is very sensible to omit private information from a site, which has public access. But we are getting very ‘lost’ in the search for Connie, and it would be useful to go back to the beginning and review exactly what has been done. Before doing anything more – and as I am one of the nearest to the area - it would be helpful to have a conversation with you, together with a couple of others and/or one of the coordinators. Your Mum has my mobile number, and if you care to meet when you are in the area – or to chat on the phone, then please feel free to ring/text to arrange. I respect the fact that it is, of course, entirely up to you.
Charlotte
Sorry about the misunderstanding - I didn't get a chance to get back on PC to ammend info that I was given. No actual sightings then...
zen
have just talked to owners daughter, the sighteing was not near the piolet but by the anchor pub... also its thought that whis was probably not connie, as the dog had a collar and name tag on... will still go down to the area later.
OldGreyMan
Have just left posters at Pilot (Hardwicke) and at aprox 20 rural properties/farms between Pilot and Longney. Have not left any on the Gloucester side of the canal, where the extensive housing estates start.Last edited: 2011-10-15 12:08:08 by OldGreyMan

May be cycling along canal path tonight so will keep a look out for Connie and put up posters along the route....Last edited: 2011-10-15 14:39:48 by Pod
zen
will drive around the whole area tomorrow and put posters in pub etc
OldGreyMan
Was the sighting near 'The Pilot' at Hardwicke? or is the 'pub' in Framilode also called the Pilot? Is it clear which side of the Gloucester/Sharpness canal she was seen?Last edited: 2011-10-14 23:25:17 by OldGreyMan
Charlotte
hi ive just been informed by my mum that connie has seen in framilode near The Pilot. if anyone is available to help this evening that be great. i will be going out myself tomorrow to look for her. it seems she may still be close by.
Pod
Yes, don't give up on little Connie. I'd be available to help with that from tomorrow...
Mollychops
very good idea Old grey man
OldGreyMan
It's a large rural area and many people do not access Twitter or Facebook. Might it be helpful to leave a note at each farm, politely asking if they would check their outbuildings. The area could be divided up between helpers and be covered in a couple of hours. There are always volunteers on DLost who will help with anything like this if owner wishes.Last edited: 2011-10-12 22:36:09 by OldGreyMan

Charlotte
Yes when we collected her from the shelter she was shy at first but soon warms to people. If there is another sighting I will try be around to look some more.
zen
have rang cheltenham animal shelter, they feel that connie, is a little shy so may not go to strangers willingly now.
Charlotte
Just had a walk round the area of sighting for couple of ours before it got dark - no luck. Yes we would want her to get checked by the vet first if found but owner has alot of family to help should there be any problems.
zen
up to the top of page again young lady due to a siteing. oldgreyman thankyou so much for doing additional postering... fruittea, thankyou, if we have another siteing would be great to know which direction this little one is going in... i will ring cheltenham tomorrow and ask about this little ones character etc, to see if they can help us in anyway.
OldGreyMan
Thank you Fruittea. I have added a few in your area, with 'latest sighting' noted in red. Sorry not many, but time ran out.
If we hear an exact time/date/location again, it's worth amending posters accordingly and 'targeting' any new area as quickly after sighting as possible.Last edited: 2011-10-09 14:27:10 by OldGreyMan
Fruittea
Sorry OldGreyMan it was the 6th in the late afternoon. I'll go out later today and take a walk around just to check things out
OldGreyMan
Was that Thursday 6th? or Thursday 29th Sept?
Fruittea
Hi Flaggbag. The siting was on Thursday in Canal Row in Upper Framilode. The Church I mentioned was St Peters - down by the Severn. No further sitings yet -I'm afraid. I went out at dusk last night and walked around the fields (Moors) and the out buildings around Burnt House Farm but nothing here - so far. The food wasn't touched either. So she may have moved on. Lot's of dog walkers are looking at the poster so if she's spotted I'm sure they will knock. Hopefully she will turn up. Shame we don't know a previous name - as I'm calling out Connie but she may not recognise her own name.
zen
i do hope if this little dog has been picked up and kept by someone that they have her stiches checked by a vet...
zen
goodness, a siteing at last, please can you tell me if you mean yesterday or last thursday, and is this saul church?
Fruittea
Hi Everyone. I live in Upper Framilode and have heard from a neighbour that a dog sounding like Connie was seen on Thursday up in the lane towards the church - Canal Row. I've put a poster up on my gate and will continue to look and alert dog walkers. There's plenty I'm sure she'll be found soon. Meanwhile we'll put some food and water down.
zen
up to the top you go young lady, this dog was advertised in the local paper today, wish we could have just one siteing to help us...
Charlotte
Thanks for that :)
OldGreyMan
Few more posters displayed in village, some with dog walkers and postman has one in his van. Rowing club also alerted by email.Last edited: 2011-10-05 13:30:06 by OldGreyMan
Charlotte
I've put an advert in today's SNJ and it will be on the website tommorrow. It will also go in the dursley gazette tommorrow as well. I hope we find her :(
zen
thank you oldgreyman. always there when you are needed
OldGreyMan
Spoke to contact number today. They have postered Saul, Frampton and Gloucester Docks (canal passes near Saul). Staff at Slimbridge WW Trust are aware. If any sightings, have posters ready to help cover that area.
Charlotte
We don't know I'm afraid as she was a stray and no-one claimed her. She then went to the animal shelter in Cheltenham for only two weeks before we went to get her.
Pod
Do you know where she came from? Just a thought that she may try to make her way back there....
Shereen
Stay safe until your found Connie.xxx
zen
just spoke to a relative of the owners, this little dog escaped from the garden less than 24 hours after arriving... have advised the owners to poster poster poster, and will send email advice...
