Hi everyone, just an update to say  earlier today, I collected Pippa from the RSPCA hospital in BIrmingham. It took 9 calls to them and a wild goose chase to RSPCA Coventry to locate her whereabouts. it turned out that the Officer in charge of her case was out of the office for 2 days.   Needless to say we consider ourselves very lucky to be reunited. I have vowed to never leave the back garden gate unlocked again. A brand new sparkling closer is now fitted and will serve   as a timely reminder of this uncomfortable event.   I have never had the occasion to need help in a crisis before, it is really up lifting to know that there are  good truly  supportive people out there willing to lend a hand when you are at your  most vulnerable. Many thanks to all the comments and support we was really appreciated it.  If there is one thing I have learned through this experience should it ever happen again (God forbid), is that  speed and knocking on every door in your street is really important.  Pippa is exhausted from her adventure and has proceeded to sleep all evening. We will also.... 3 sleepless nights to catch up on.
Once again thanks everyone.
Paul , Lindsay Christie, Molly, Aneka and Pippa xx

Pippa has hopefully been located now and should be home soon. Won't reunite her until there's confirmation that she's back home.

Spoke to owner Pippa is at RSPCA but not sure where as the man who picked her up is not working today, so will have to wait to find out where she is tomorrow. Owner will post to let us know. Liz xx

So very sorry that your little Pippa is missing. I know just what you are going through as our little Yorkie, Jacob, is still missing.
Put an ad in the local Express and Star in the lost dogs section. If you can get a photo to them, that really helps. It will cost about £40 for 6 days. That is also entered free into the local Chronicle. I put up laminated posters (with a photo) on lamp posts, in our local Post Office and convenience shop. Near to ATMs. Anywhere you think people will read a poster. Have you contacted the local council Dog Wardens? You will find a lot of support coming out of the blue from some truly lovely people. But also be prepared for hoax calls and texts - they are just sad people so try not to get upset. I hope your little one is back with you very soon. Bless you, Gill
