- Thank you Positive Paws! Don't worry she will be going to Wales with Tania tonight and will be living in the middle of nowhere, with lots of doggy friends and no chance of another escape. That way she will be able to assess her and find a secure rural home.

- I am delighted that Linda is back home, I heard the news after I got back from another search for her in Lingfield today. You must be so relieved to have her back where she belongs in her warm, loving home. Might be worth popping her on a long lead and accompanying her in the garden so that she doesn't escape again, especially as we are already hearing fireworks in prep for Halloween and Bonfire night. You might also want to be careful that she doesn't get spooked if you have trick or treaters calling? Give her some calm reassuring pats and strokes from me.All the very best. Fabulous news. x

- OMG WE'VE GOT HER! There was a sighting this morning and she returned over the wall to the foster home! Tania is with her now! One of her pads is slightly split, but other than that she is none the worse for wear and a little bemused by all the attention. Can't tell you what a relief it is!
Just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to the Dog Lost Team, their helpers and everyone that rallied on this. You do an absolutely amazing job and we are all very lucky to have your support. Will post on the RR forum today and ask for our members to join and hope you get some response from it. Thank again for everything. Off for a cup of tea although feel the urge for something stronger! - Tania (SOS Animals) is now in the area and searching. If anyone is available to join her please get in touch.

- Thank you Positive Paws. Tania will be down from Wales and searching tomorrow. Not being from that area we wondered whether there was a taxi rank at the station and if so she was going to speak with some of the drivers and ask them to spread the word. I did an email blast of as many Surrey vets email addresses as I could find via their websites/yellow pages. We have set up a Fb page called Find Linda and are inviting friends left right and centre asking them to spread the word. Dustmen was another one I thought of.
- 2011-10-05 21:52 Positive Paws
- Thanks to everyone for all your help. I also contacted the railway and left them my number if they have any sightings they will contact me. Tomorrow I will also contact kennels further afield - Freer farm and other vets. You could also try local window cleaners?
- 2011-10-05 21:33 Positive Paws
- I have put a poster up in Sainsburys East Grinsstead, pubs in EG and my friend is putting it on her blog, she sells dog food and has lots of contacts, have alerted pet shops and left msg with Last Chance rescue and poster to Chartham park, threw down some tasty, smelly sausage pieces around Lingfield rec, to keep her close if she is around, will walk my dog again in the local area to see if i can get a sighting, have you thought about estate agents and taxi drivers, well done for getting air play on the radio, the more people that know about Linda the greater the chance of getting a sighting, friends have put posters in shops and we have also displayed in our car windows so wherever we go they can be seen.I also gave the poster to one of my dog walking clients today who lives near the forest, you never know where she may turn up the more we make people aware the more likely it is we will find her, sleep tight and take care, D x

- I went out for 3hrs yesterday on foot and walked the fields between Lingfield & Edenbridge and checked all the air raid shelters I could find. Posters up in a couple of shops in Edenbridge and I also handed out half a dozen posters to other dog walkers. I've emailed a few Pro dog walkers in the area also Lingfield Nature Reserve. Will go out again tomorrow.

- Hi Nicola...thanks for the call...have tried ringing you back but engaged
- 2011-10-05 13:12 Pod
- Even after a few days, she will know your scent and probably her way home if she's been walked from there. You might like to try the doglost scenting advice using hoover contents, clothing, wee etc as well as food stations to try and keep her in the immediate area. Also, she will have to sleep somewhere and may come out at first light to look for food, when it is quieter. Try searching then.Last edited: 2011-10-05 13:13:24 by Pod

- Contacted national rail they have made a report and will get back to me.
- 2011-10-05 12:58 Tania Coates
- Thankyou so much positive paws & everyone for all your help. I have spoken to several farmers and landowners in the local area they are all keeping an eye out - possibly that she may have been hiding out in an old barn - or possibly she is closer to home. There have just been no sightings :-( we have been on the local radio this morning so hope that will alert more people.
- 2011-10-05 12:50 Suziewoo
- Well done Positive Paws! Just had another thought - may be worth contacting local schools, especially ones with grounds such as Notre Dame. Kids are very good at spotting missing dogs!

- You are an angel Positive Paws, thank you. Tania (SOS Animals) is likely to drive down from Wales this afternoon to search too. If anyone is able to join her/help her please get in touch.Last edited: 2011-10-05 12:32:36 by Sharon Rescue Remedies

- I searched on foot with my dog this morning. Checked the church and graveyard as it is remote, quiet and near where she escaped from but no sightings, walked around the outskirts of the recreation ground and footpaths off the roads. Will drop posters in to pet shops in East Grinstead and will give Last Chance in Edenbridge a call. Keep looking and keep faith that you will be reunited soon. x
- 2011-10-05 12:02 Positive Paws
- I drove from East Grinstead to Lingfield via Felcourt keeping a lookout in surrounding fields. Have been to Lingfield Marriott and advised reception as she may appear around the racecourse/golfcourse. Poster dropped in to Chartham Park Golf and Health Club and to a dog walker in Lingfield recreation ground to tell as many dog walkers as poss to keep eyes open
- 2011-10-05 11:16 Suziewoo
- I am presuming that all local vets, DW, rescue centres Last Chance, RSPCA South Godstone) have been informed? I don't want to be negative but it may be worth checking with Network Rail if she went missing near railway lines. I will take some posters with me tomorrow & try to make people aware that she is missing in the area. I really hope that there is a sighting soon or that someone has taken her in & is caring for her.
- 2011-10-05 08:20 Sharon Rescue Remedies
- Seriously worried about Linda as she needs daily medication. If anyone in the area can help search please get in touch via the poster so that they can get a group together.
- 2011-10-05 05:17 iberlynx
- I am concerned as she looks like the dog that arrived at my gate, here in Spain, in September 2010. She was a starved dog with a spinal injury near her tail and aged about 6 months.
I took her in and cared for her until she travelled to a new home in Surrey in July this year, at the time I was looking to move to Cyprus and could not take 2 dogs. I warned everyone involved that given the chance she would escape and go walkabout.
I live in open country and she would regularly take herself off for a few hours given the chance (typical of Podencos), but she knew where she lived and always came home. Also there is no traffic where I live unlike in the UK.
Even if it is not my Chica I do hope she is found safe. - 2011-10-04 21:35 Sharon Rescue Remedies
- Well done Anita!
- 2011-10-04 21:08 JD
- I have listed Linda on three sites advertising things for sale in Lingfield and Surrey areas - its a bit far for me to travel, but have alerted a couple of friends in that area and they will be checking with me for any organised searches. Good luck, Anita x
- 2011-10-04 19:08 Tania Coates
- No sightings of her all day - am really worried :-(
- 2011-10-04 17:21 Suziewoo
- I am going to Occasionally Yours on Thursday morning so will drop a poster in there. I'm not too far away and could help look on Sunday but hopefully she will be home safe by then. x
- 2011-10-04 14:17 Sharon Rescue Remedies
- They have called and alerted the Maypole Road vet just in case she travels to that area ;o)
- 2011-10-04 13:00 Linda
- bit away from me as i'm in crawley but happy to join a search party over w/e if she's still missing, very horsey area would be good idea to drop leaflets or posters in to any livery yards or riding schools as you see a lot more from the top of a horse...hurry up and show yourself little Linda.
- 2011-10-04 12:49 Calamity
- The veterinary practice in Maypole road will know exactly what to look for if you tell the that it is like a small ibizan hound as they have treated mine for the last 15 years or so. Good luck I will do a search of the area at the weekend if she is not found by then.

- We lost (and found after 4 days) our Podenca Andaluz 6 years ago. Happy to chat to you on the phone about what worked for us if you wish.... Best of luck.
- 2011-10-04 09:53 Pod
- I own a Podenca and have a google alert out for anything about them. This is what came up about Linda today.
'SOS Animals UK foster dog Linda, a Podenco Andaluz has gone missing in Surrey, Lingfield area, at around 11am this morning.
Tan/gingery colour, shaped like a Pharoah Hound, small, athletic looking, large ears.
She is very friendly, but is likely to be a little shy/nervous. Please please please get in touch if you hear anything. PM me for a number, or post on the wall of facebook (SOS Animals UK)'
Please, Doglost update your breed list for these dogs so we can have accurate descriptions..... - 2011-10-04 09:05 Cuwie
- Thank you so much. Yes, she is a rescue from Spain. I have given descriptions to wardens, rescues, vets and the RSPCA. She also has leishmaniasis so needs regular medication. Am very worried about her - we think she jumped the wall when there was a big explosion locally.

- Poster e mailed to local helpers in RH1,6,7,8,9,10,19. TN7,8,16.

- Have shared with all friends close by on Facebook
- 2011-10-04 07:13 PaulaK
- Is she a rescue dog? If so is there anyone from the rescue (fosterer/carer?) that could come and help look for her. You need to explain her description carefully to all local vets, rescues, boarding kennels, dog wardens etc as Im sure most wont know what at Podengo looks like. Good luck. I will alert friends in smallfield
