- Hi, thank you all - she's called Tia and she's doing really well. Not house trained but she's learning from our other dogs really well. She's coming out of her shell and is really playful and affectionate. Will join lurcher link, will be needing some advice I'm sure!

- Latest news - dog warden was very good with her. He thinks she's been dumped. She's gone to very good council kennels to do her 7 days. Had vet check and she's fine apart from her weight which they are managing. Apparently she's very shy but coping. I asked about adopting her and apparently if I live too close to where she was found I won't be eligable. Final say is with dog warden services so I will wait to hear what they say. All this may be very academic as I haven't had "the chat" with my husband yet!

- Thanks for your comments. Photos added. No Chip. I have to call dog warden and they will collect her to do her 7 days apparently. I feel sad/ guilty to let her go but if her owners are looking for her then it's the right thing to do. I'll leave my details in case she isn't claimed. Last edited: 2011-10-04 14:15:51 by Ros

- Well done Ros......you are brilliant!!!I think as long as you notify the Dog Warden and Police there is no reason why you cant keep the dog , until hopefully the owner comes forward.....I stand corrected if I am wrong.

- I've caught her this morning! I'd thought it was completely mad of me to go looking as complete needle in a haystack situation and I took a certain route and there she was running down the road. Had to spend half an hour to an hour feeding titbits and trying to encourage her into the boot but eventually had to lie down in the road for her to come nearer and then grabbed her (with my toddler in the car and me 4 months pregnant!), luckily she's not aggressive but very skinny and scared. Taking her to vets at lunch and going to have her scanned. Hopefully I can look after her until owners are found - what's the legal situation? Would hate for her to go to kennels. Will take a photo when I've won her trust a bit more, she's resting in the car now and has had a sachet of food.

- I may have duplicated this dog, I added him/her earlier but couldn't find the record when I searched so I've added again.
