- The vet that currently has the Springer ID 45659 said he can't find a microchip but will ask him to check again. I guess it wouldn't have been too difficult to find on a puppy & remove if she was stolen?
- 2012-11-27 01:27 BBKM
- Any chance the springer in found on here ID 45659 is Smudge. Face is similar but not sure of Smudge's body markings x

- I just picked this up on facebook ... I cant guarantee the accuracy or that there is any relation to the car mentioned below however I am posting this up. I quote " The silver VW Golf V6 4 Motion which is suspected of being involved in several dog thefts (Dogwatch 692, 693 & 694) has been identified. The registration number is LM 02 HFR and it is not brand-new as previously reported, but was registered in 2002. It was seen in Yattendon yesterday 20 October where the occupants said they had lost their terrier out rabbiting. It was seen again at Hambleden the same afternoon trying to gain access to a farm where a dog was stolen in August (Dogwatch 671). If you see this vehicle please immediately contact DC 3882 Jackie Murdock on 07816 838547 or the police on 0845 8505505, quoting URN 507 of 20 Oct 11

- I've made my NeighbourHood Watch co ordinator aware of these thefts so hopefully more eyes will be looking out for Smudge+ Twinkle,Teal & Tess and also the suspicious VW Golf. The owners must be distraught.

- Is Chusa that is mentioned in Reynards post registered with us? The Animal Search post shows a photo of the found young female springer, docked tail. It has to be one of them - Smudge, Tess or Chusa. Found actually on the A429 so make have escaped from vehicle?? This is really bothering me, so many stolen in such a small area.

- So sad and shocking that these springers have been stolen...I have watched the video and someone somewhere will know who these thiefs are. Try and get coverage of this on local and national news and hopefully they will be identified quickly. Good luck, hope all these babies are found safe soon x

- So sorry to see that SMUDGE has been stolen. I could be wrong but this address should read Berkshire. Englefield is next to Theale. This is very close to where i live in Pangbourne so I will keep an eye out for him. If the owners make him TOO HOT TO HANDLE he may be found. We really need a photo so I can then print off posters. What are the circumstances to lead to him being stolen? Any more info would help. Fingers crossed he is back home soon.

- Sorry to see that SMUDGE STOLEN is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (33544)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
