- I just picked this up on facebook ... I cant guarantee the accuracy or that there is any relation to the car mentioned below however I am posting this up. I quote " The silver VW Golf V6 4 Motion which is suspected of being involved in several dog thefts (Dogwatch 692, 693 & 694) has been identified. The registration number is LM 02 HFR and it is not brand-new as previously reported, but was registered in 2002. It was seen in Yattendon yesterday 20 October where the occupants said they had lost their terrier out rabbiting. It was seen again at Hambleden the same afternoon trying to gain access to a farm where a dog was stolen in August (Dogwatch 671). If you see this vehicle please immediately contact DC 3882 Jackie Murdock on 07816 838547 or the police on 0845 8505505, quoting URN 507 of 20 Oct 11

I've already posted, that from experience, I know there are hundreds of travellers parked around with vans, horse trailers, buying and selling horses, dogs, etc. Can you make sure the owners are told please?

- A silver VW Golf was seen at 0845 in Denchworth, Wantage this morning 19 October. It had dog cages in the rear and it is possibly the vehicle that the police are looking for in connection with the theft of the spaniel at Englefield near Theale on 16 October (Dogwatch 692) and the three spaniels stolen from Letcombe Bassett near Wantage on 17 October (Dogwatch 693). If you see this vehicle please report it at once to DC 3882 Jackie Murdock on 07816 838547 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 07816 838547 end_of_the_skype_highlighting or to the police on 0845 8505 505 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 0845 8505 505 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
Ive copies this fromlatest DogWatch alert. All local farmers and landowners are ware, emailed out from the Old Berks Hunt . They are keeping an eye out for this vehicle

- The Stowe Horse Fair is advertised as 20th October -- so tomorrow. I would think a very good place to go to look for lost dogs. I do hope these lovely springers are home safely very soon.

- Just found out that it is Stow Horse Fair next week. Run by travelers for travelers. The sort of place where stolen dogs can change hands. There is always a police presence so If anybody is going and you spot a possibly stolen dog get police help, especialy if there is a crime number.

- So shocked and saddened by these thefts. I have watch the video on Smudge's page and hopefully the theives will be caught soon and all the springers returned safe soon xx

- This is shocking - these pupies have obviously been targeted. Am I correct in thinking that there are now 3 puppies (including Smudge from Englefield) + 1 adult female stolen. When photo's are posted on here would it be possible to group them together for the Posters - it would make a bigger impact and gain more attention.Last edited: 2011-10-18 11:26:22 by LYDNSYD

- Sorry to see that TESS is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (33575)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
