- Hi Miss Marple, thank you for that :) Ive spoken to the DW about this dog in realtion to another missing dog..Its not Bill as he is a full Border Collie and the found is definately a Collie Cross and Bill is a fair few years older. Also in Bills description it says he has two white front paws and white tip on tail and the found does not.
I wish there was an update on Bill. I did request Rocinante to try and get in touch again but not heard anything... - 2011-11-14 00:05 Miss Marple

- Hi Rocinate, Thanks for the update..
I would ring them again and ask if there has been any news and have they been in constant contact with Halewood RSPCA, Ashcroft Veterinary Surgery, Cheshire Dogs Home, Barra and Acorn rescues..I rang them all on the 24th Oct and there were no reportings of Bob then. He isnt chipped with concerns me that if the above places aren't contacted regularly, he could get rehomed. If you could pass that info on to them that would be great. Please let me know how you get on.. :)

- Sorry I've not given any updates but as I posted earlier, I have major commitments with work at the moment and have not been at home. However, the family have not been in touch since I requested the photo and really don't seem to actively seek or want help. I did drive down around the area this evening on my way home to see if there were any 'home made' posters, as I'd discussed with them but there was nothing. Really don't know what to do now....wether to try to contact them again or not??

- Had a call from the Highways Agency earlier to report no incidents on the motorway that covers the area where Bob went missing over the last couple of weeks...
Any news??? - 2011-10-26 15:54 Unknown
- Thanks Jan :)
Rocinante' do we know whats happening about a photo ? Also have there been any possible sightings or any updates...Thanks :)x - 2011-10-25 21:29 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

- Thanks everyone. :)
If we had a description of what Bob is like we could use a SIMILAR photo.
I did see a BC in Halewood RSPCA at the weekend, I've spoken to the kennels and he was picked up in the L6 area of Liverpool. From what I remember he was semi coated, prick ears and black & white. I won't get chance to call into the kennels again until the weekend. x - 2011-10-25 17:02 Unknown
- Thank you JeffandAlfsmummy..That was checked and matched with another dog, so i dont understand why its not saying reunited. There is a dog showing as found in Frodsham, the area Bob went missing from, which should be in lost..Ive asked twice for them to amend this..It just makes it more confusing when people are checking!!! :)x Have spoken to AW again to try and get their IT people to sort this'Last edited: 2011-10-25 17:46:39

- Could dog number 249141 on the animal wardens site be Bob found in Runcorn?
- 2011-10-24 20:23 Unknown
- Hi Jayne, i dont think they have a laptop unfortunately :)
- 2011-10-24 20:21 Unknown
- Hi' Yes your right, a piccy is most needed now. Could you just ask if its a short or long haired collie and what markings are on the face..ie all black with a white nose etc..Im sure Majorjet could get a copy of a head shot off a photo..Those posters need going out asap, especially if someone has taken him in. I know he has been in the paper is it the one i mentioned ? Glad to hear about the motorway. The AW site is still wrong ARRRRRRRRRR' Its great that your helping the family. I will have a think if i can contact anyone else :)x

- Thanks Rochnante for assisting...ask owners to put into google images black and white collie...then save and foward to admin...with of course their dogs name...as you know all owners of missing dogs...are distraught...but when we have the photo we can email out to local dog owners, twitter ..facebook it...get results...without a photo...we cannot do the service...

- Hippy Chick, you're an absolute star! Thank you.
I spoke to the family this evening and they can't find a photo. They will keep on looking and will call me if they find one so I can go and get it....I really hope they do. Is there any way we can add a similar dog photo so I can print of some posters? I can then drop them with the family so that they can put them up...is there anyone in the immediate area who could help? I'm finding it difficult to get up there due to work commitments. Also, regarding the motorway it's definately not an issue as it runs above the marshes on a kind of flyover. Not sure about the railway though...I know there's a high viaduct close by but not sure how far that goes. The marshes are close to the area though and this is where the family have been looking, although I don't know to what extent. I think there's another vet close by called Rose Cottage (?) so will contact them tomorrow to alert them. - 2011-10-24 19:00 Unknown
- Spoken to Cheshire West council regarding incidents on the roads (Street scene) and no reportings. Had to call the Highways Agency for the motorway. They are going to look into it for me and i have a ref number. Can take upto 15 days for a reply, so will keep you posted.

- Phoned Bara and Acorn again but still no news. Also spoken to DW for Cheshire East where dogs are taken to City Dogs Home, but nothing there.
No luck at Cheshire Dogs Home either or Leigh Cats and Dogs..
Have checked the two possible Collies on the Cheshire West website but one was to young and the other oldie has been reunited.
Spoken to someone else via the number above as the person i spoke to last night is working. Have asked for a photo but they werent sure if they had one, so i think it might be better if Rocinante can try and get one later.
The area Bob went missing from is Riversdale and is very close the M56 motorway, there is also a railway quite near aswell..I will phone the highways'

- hippy chick, if you are able to contact him again tomorrow that would be great. I will be in work and Rocinante will be as well and won't be able to get a photo until after work.
Once we have a photo and exactly where he has gone missing from that will help us in our search. If you get any further details please drop me a text, Rocinante also has my number. x - 2011-10-23 23:09 Unknown
- Rocinante' you are doing a fab job trying to help. I spoke to the owners son earlier (on the above number) and he did seem confused about DogLost. I did ask if he could come on here to add a photo and also to get in touch with yourself..I am more than happy to help and Jan has my number :)x

There are a few FOUND BC's on here and these are some of the dogs that end up in Barra and Acorn kennels. - 2011-10-23 22:29 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
- Rocinante, what is the exact area he has gone missing from? x

- Thanks Rocinante for the update.
If owners have a mobile phone or anyone else a picture can be taken of the still photo and sent to us, don't worry about getting stuff in the background it can be cropped. I will send you my mobile number in case this can be done. Great you also have the numbers for Acron and Barra kennels. x - 2011-10-23 22:15 Rocinante
- Not heard from the owners tonight to find out how they got on at Halewood but will try to call tomorrow. I did ask if they had a photo but thay only have one hardcopy. Will try to get to Frodsham tomorrow to collect and scan in. I did tell the AW this morning about the mistake on their entry for Bob (should be lost and not found) and they said they would rectify. When I spoke to AW they gave me the numbers for Acorn and Barra kennels which apparently is where lost dogs would be taken. Called both but no luck. Will try to call the others tomorrow, Jan. Can't stop thinking about this poor old fella....... :(

- Rocinante, thanks for registering Bob on DL and helping owners. The found BC that was in Halewood RSPCA may have been Milo 33637 now REUNITED he is from the WA7 area.
The kennels to also try are:
Cheshire Dog's Home 225 Knutsford Road
Grappenhall, Warrington, Cheshire WA4 3JZ Tel 0844 504 1212
Leigh Dogs and Cats Home, Graveoak, East Lancashire Road, Leigh, Lancashire WN7 3SE Tel 01942 671215 or 0870 7501247
We urgently need a photo. I am not 100% but I may have seen an elderly BC in Halewood RSPCA yesterday. It is very important that owners do visit in person to check. I'll try and speak to the kennels tomorrow but I will be in work.
Thanks hippy chick for helping out greatly appreciated. :) x

- Might be worth trying to get him in the Chester Chronicle, Helsby and Frodsham edition with it being 2 weeks since Bob went missing...
- 2011-10-23 16:23 Unknown
- Requested photo...
- 2011-10-23 14:18 Rocinante
- Have registered Bob on behalf of the owners who have no internet access. He was advertised in my local paper as missing. Looked on the animal warden website and have spoken to them and Halewood this morning regarding a boarder collie that had been found but unfortunately not Bob. As it's been 2 weeks since Bob went missing, have advised the owners to visit Halewood today to actually have a look to see if Bob is there. They will contact me later today to let me know how they get on and will help them poster. They advise that they live close to the marshes and have been searching them since he went missing.

- Sorry to see that BOB is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (33682)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
