Ive spoken to the kennels where he was being kept, after 3 days there he will go to Stoke dogs Home for 7 days, after hes done his 7 days, if still not claimed, he will hopefully be going to Greyhound Gap. Ive spoken to Lisa at Greyhound Gap and she said more thank likely he will end up there with them :-) x

Poor boy hope he's ok maybe he's from travellers an used for illegal coursing hence the scars maybe barbed wire id have him if I was closer but I'm in essex I love my greyhounds worked with them for over 10 years an have 2 at home now

Pugs r us and Hippy chick, thank you so much for the update. I am sorry to hear that he has so many wounds and is in generally poor condition, but hopefully he will be happy with other greys and finds a loving home very soon. If I was nearer....

Think he's a bit darker than blue? He's been reported found to the dog warden and local police and is now in emergency boarding kennels as I was unable to keep him with me. At least he is safe and warm and getting food and water :) he had a really bad new scar over his nose and numerous wounds over his body. He is underweight and poor body condition :( he was wearing a leather collar, no tag but the remains of a lead attached to the collar, has he got free from owner? Been dumped and tied up? Who knows only he could tell us! For now he is safe and being looked after and I'm getting in touch with local greyhound rescue to see if they could help this boy xxx

Ive spoken to a very nice lady who hepled get this boy to a holding rescue last night. He was found dodging the traffic when a gentleman managed to get hold of him and contacted the lady for help. He will be there for 3 days then should go to a rescue in Stoke. Will update if i hear anything different..He is said to be a lovely boy...

Now why would a dog like this have so many scars? could he have been used for bait/fighting, or does it look like he's been abused? Poor boy, if he could tell us what's happened to him,- I'm sure it would be shocking. Do hope he finds a deserving loving home.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
