Perhaps it was a boarding kennels, I got my Golden Retriever many years ago from a breeder in Rainford and they are still there. Lucy is one lucky girl to be found by such good Samaritans. x
Maggie
Thank you Jan for updating Lucy's page x

Welcome home Lucy, can't tell how happy i was when i read the news this morning and even happier after talking to Lucy's owner that Lucy is home safe an well.
It wasn't leigh Cats & Dogs Home and local one which Lucy's owners know, think the kennels are in Rainford (hope i spelt that right).

The people that looked after her even gave Lucy a bath :))
stay safe Lucy xx

Had an update from Maggie (who is in work) earlier today, THANKS Maggie. :)

A lady found her on the road near Rainford, they contacted the DW who said they wanted £76 to take her, so the lady took her to a local kennels to ask what to do at the same time an elderly couple where picking their dog up and they said they would look after her.

I guess the kennels would of been Leigh Cats & Dog's Home and not sure if it was the DW or AW who said they would charge £76.00.

WELL DONE to everyone who has taken the time to look after her and eventually reunited her back with her very relieved family who are over the moon.

Thanks also to Marlene who alerted us late last night via Facebook that she had been picked up but we just needed to confirm it with family before moving her into the BLUE.

Maggie has done a fab job and family are very grateful.

Welcome HOME Lucy sending you a massive big hug. xxx

Could people help with a search for Lucy, mostly open fields where she went missing from, would be great if any helpers on here could arrange a search party to look for Lucy - Lucy's owners need loads of help to find her and to cover the area.
Lucy is 17, hearing and eye sight not very good and she sometimes can be a bit weak on her legs
Maggie
I have mailed a few vets near to where Lucy was last seen. I have spoken to Lucy's owner again and he said its mostly fields around where he lives, they have also contacted the golf club which is nearby, also people who where out riding have been looking out for her too.
Maggie
I have spoken Lucy's owner and they have had no sign of Lucy, they have contacted dog warden, Leigh Dogs home and given them her details, im going to send her poster over to them so they can put it up. They have tried various other places too but no sign of her.
Lucy is about 17yrs old and gets very confused and they have to keep a eye on her when out walking. When they were out for a walk on the day she went missing, she was there one min and gone the next, someone did she her near the road but no sign of her since.
If anyone lives the area i know they would appreciate all the help they can get to put posters up, search for Lucy, they haven't got internet access. I hope Lucy is found very soon x
