Hi julie, so sorry to hear about Blu's disappearance :-(((( I dont go on facebook so not sure of your actual circumstances.
In regard to the reward, I feel that I had to cover all bases to ensure it appealed to the most people. The true animal lovers may be offended by the offer of cash but there are people out there that it may appeal to, so we went ahead and offered one.
In the end, although we realised that the reward may have been a "tongue loosener," it was the action of good people with strength and high morals which alerted us to Nudge's whereabouts. The reward was not the primary motive.

I am so glad she is home safetly, I have been following on face book. I have lost my whippet called Blu, do you think the £500 reward helped find her as we are thinking of offering the same but worried about prank calls? Julie

Hi All, a HUGE THANKYOU to everyone who has donated their time, effort and finances towards finding Nudge. She is home safe, thinner and slightly shocked and has almost slept continuously since she came home.
We are astonished at the number of wonderful, supportive, generous people who are full of great advice and empathy, which we have met along the way.
We would never wish to go through this journey again and whilst we are celebrating, our thoughts are with the owners who have not had the good fortune to be reunited with their beloved pets.
I cannot speak more highly of the people associated with the "doglost" website and we will always be grateful for their input towards getting Nudge home xxxxxx

Update: Bridget got a phonecall yesterday evening to say that Nudge had been found . A woman said her brother found her on the park yesterday brought her home. Some other people came round and said 'he' was theirs. the woman got suspicious and didn't hand *her* over and took her to kennels. Had a look online and saw and recognised Nudge and phoned B last night. The kennels wouldn't let her in until this morning. She said she is nervous but fine :)))) The kennels were slightly out of area in Bolsover. HUGE THANKS to everyone :)))))))"

A message was left on Dana's facebook page (which I transferred on to her DogsLost page) suggesting it might be worth a visit to the National Whippet Racing Event at Highgate Greyhound Stadium THIS Sunday (to distribute posters). Please see Dana's DogsLost page for details.

texted owner this morning as walking down church lane in dinnington i saw a white van but reg similiar but not right one!!! as anybody tried texting while hanging on to a boxer dog lol sorry will keep looking on way back also saw some workmen who had seen posters and all have dogs so will keep an eye out

Hi everyone, have been out searching again but no luck. Not one phone call from advert in Rotherham newspapers :-(( Have raised the reward to £500 with the help of friends and relatives.

Sorry Gillian, have edited out part of the reg no (which is correct) as it is Doglost policy not to publish complete reg numbers for various legal reasons. What other sites and forums choose to do is up to their own guidelines.

I have postered laughton as discussed Bridgett. Everyone I have met walking today knows about Nudge so that's positive. It might be an idea to take some posters into local car repair garages in the area with details of the registration number of the van you never know. If you want to drop me some more posters in the grooming salon next time you pass and I will help you to spread them around garages.

Sorry to hear this,so the police are basically saying the vechicle is not taxed, the only people who would get away with that sort of thing don't have a fixed address,could they have been working in the area?and there fore had passed the thornberry animal sanctury cos any one passing can see the sign, i think this a despicable thing they have done, i hope you get some good news soon.

Have you checked the one found wandering in Northwich? I know it seems a long way off but if Nudge was picked up in a van there's always the chance that they decided to take her with them and then dump her. I can just see some sick people picking her up and thinking it's a great laugh to release her miles from home :(

Hi can't go any further as yet with the van enquiry.
I can't have a crime number just an incident number.
It looks like it isn't even on the police's stop+search list!

Hi All, May have a very strong lead! A person rang me to say that they had allegedly spotted 3 men in a WHITE FORD TRANSIT 120 VAN, Diesel, (small wheel base) picking Nudge up on Outgang Lane on Monday dinnertime.
The men said that they were going to take her to Thornberry but she was never handed in there. Does anyone Know if she was handed in anywhere else, local or not?
The number plate of the van begins with : W393 P
Could everyone look out for this van please and let me know if they see it.

Bridgette has joined SF, I'm a Moderator on SF so I will keep an eye out on any developements. Met up with Bridgette last night to give her a load of posters, had a an hour or so looking but nothing. It was dark and cold so I suspect she will have been hiding somewhere.
