Good tips Zoe. You're right the dogs are bassetty and as such i'd have thought they would be acting like typical bassetts too - and baying can't be mistaken! As microchipped dogs they are easily identifiable and whoever has them shouldn't be able to keep them hidden too long. Keep poster poster postering!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

May be worth postering Bedgebury Forest - lots of dog walkers in there who may have seen something. Also Charity Farm (Pet food suppliers) would be an idea as they get very busy i believe.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OMG these two really are very 'Bassety' aren't they! They have to be somewhere. 10 days is a long time for them to be missing, with no sightings - and no noise either!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No news as yet: not a single phone call - owner postering continuously: two big dogs like this don't just go missing - if they were wandering they'd have been seen, they're too unusual to be not noticed... please please everyone in Kent get the posters up and get the word out that Bod and Bubbles have gone missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The owners have sent the photos by email to you - but i've asked her to try again if they haven't arrived. They have altered their posters to be more suitable for certain types of theives... on the offchance... and on their travels met 6 other people from the area who had had dogs stolen - and recovered for money - from gypsies. Welsh breeders are producing Bassets in large numbers - I don't think these adverts are especially significant. What cross are these 'Bassets'? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OK have now spoken to Bod & Bubbles owner, it's her birthday today - not surprisingly not a very cheerful one. Bod & Bubbles disappeared from the garden during the school run. They have got out before and there is an unlockable gate - but it is 5 days now and not a word, and people have mentioned to her that it could be theft because of the prevelance of dog theft at the mo (shows we're getting people aware eh!). Some travellers on static and temporary sites in the area so posters being put up there in the usual manner to see if any results come from that. Pics will be over soon - Jayne you may need to doctor slightly to remove people/other dogs etc but as soon as they are we can then do the email out to local helpers and please if you are local, get postering postering postering - these are large heavy dogs and quite distinctive - they don't just go missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Question - were these two out walking and took off? Or did they go missing, presumed stolen from a garden? Any sightings? What sort of area is this - town? country? More information please as time is passing and these should be easily recognised, especially if they are running together?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
