Molly Is Back Home
Just got home with our girl Molly! She is none the worse for wear after her adventure (I however have gained a few more grey hairs)!! She was picked up on Oldham Road the same day she went missing and handed in to Gourleys vets in Ashton. They rang the previous owners who have been searching for me and saw this face book page. I was on my way to Manchester dogs home when the call came... WELCOME HOME MOLLY!!! ♥ I would like thank everyone for their support at what has been a very difficult time, I will be forever grateful xxxxxx

I have had a message today from a friend that was at Manchester Dogs Home yesterday looking for another dog. They were taken to a block where the dogs are over the 7 days, she said she seen a collie which had a bad skin condition on its back, she said the collie was thin!
When the owner goes today please make sure they ask to go to the block where the dogs are over the 7 days - good luck xx

Hi' Thanks for the update KayDee. I dont think the owner is active on here, so might be worth getting in touch with her as to where you have been looking etc.
I have mentioned about getting Molly in the local paper and to speak to another owner that has a missing dog not far from her, so maybe they can help each other. Really hope for some good news soon :)xLast edited: 2011-11-05 09:47:45
Diane
We walked through Holden Clough and then round the Fairbottom bobs and BMX track at Park Bridge. No sign but will try again tomorrow. It might help others to know that Molly went from the Broadoak Road area. I don't have posters, no printer at mo :( but am sharing link on some Facebook and twitter accounts that I manage x

Diane
thanks hippychick, rang the owner and got a bit more info. Just about to head up that way now with my own dogs. Feel quite emotional about Molly, i have 2 BCs and my boy has 1 floppy ear too, hate to think of them out there at this time of year especially. Keep up the good work everyone x

Hi KayDee'
Thank you for your offer of help. Molly went missing from the Hurst Cross Area. I have spoken with Mollys owner and she is more than happy for you to phone her on the number above and give you more information. :)x
Diane
I live ine OL6 area and it covers quite a lot of ground with lots of places she could have ran off to. Would like to join in the search and thought I might go out tomorrow with my own 2 border collies, can anyone give more info about the area she went missing from and places she knows? Or would it be ok to ring the owner do you think?

Just had a phonecall from Molly's owner. A friend had seen a lady walking with a 'new' collie and it was thought it was Molly but it wasn't. Owner visited the house and the lady had just adopted her collie from a local dogs home.

The owner is getting disheartened and was very upset that it wasn't Molly. Have advised that she put up posters further afield and start ringing shelters in other areas. Keep positive :)

Not too far from me. I will go walking in Daisy Nook and keep an eye out. Also going to Ashton Pets at home this afternoon, so will ask if I can put a poster up. Hope she is found soon. xx

Thanks Jackalee for contacting Molly's family, did get a reply to my text yesterday to say she was still missing but did not realise until today my text back requesting more details had not gone until today. I only managed to put the photo on quickly in work today which you emailed and did not have time to update the page properly which I have done now. I've done a close up head shot but photo is still a bit blurred but not as bad as the one I originally put on when registering the details. Keeping everything crossed she is back home soon. x

Just spoken to Molly's owner as this is not far from me. Posters are going up in the area today and the owner has already contacted the dog warden and animal wardens. Owner doesn't drive but her son is taking her to Manchester Dogs Home tomorrow to check if Molly is there. Molly belongs to owner's daughter who saved up for her and is absolutely devastated that she is not home yet.

She escaped from the garden, opened the gate herself. She has just had treatment for a skin allergy so has some fur missing from her back end.
