- thank you everyone for your support - we are most ecstatic to have her back today - its fantastic to find support and practical help when you need it most :)The villagers in Syresham were fantastic at supporting and helping and making us coffee to keep us warm in the long sit outs so we are very grateful. Gladly this is our only experience of losing one of our family, and hopefully never again, but I am always happy to help whenever I can so keeping sending me alerts for my area, I didnt even know this site existed.

- Wonderful news - owners have just call me to let me know they have captured Amber - I spoke with owner earlier and advised approch tactics if he saw her again - he then set off with his other spaniel to do another search - Amber appeared in the hedgerow across the field and owner immediately lay down on the ground and let his other steady dog off the lead - they recognised each other and then came back to a still laying down dad - very happy to say that this was a good outcome so close to the main A43 dual carriageway at Silverstone

- Have spoken with owner and given them contact number for Beanie245 who has one of my traps at the moment - hopefully owners will be able to collect and get set up today - I will advise on setting up and baitin gthe trap to best effect - sounds very promising so fingers crossed all

- Thanks Rachel for posting and for the update. Very encouraging that there have been sightings, gives you a definite area to focus on. It's not always easy to be in the right place at the right time but it sounds like you have people looking out for her and hopefully they will phone sooner rather than later if they see her.

- Hi everybody - thank you for all your comments - she went missing from the Hatch Kennels in Syresham. This was Weds 2 November afternoon, was spotted in Syresham on that afternoon having crossed the A43 and Thursday and Friday in Syresham village centre. But no sightings today Saturday. We have spoken with every household in the village and postered and several people who have seen her. Will be back in the village search tomorrow Sunday. She is scared of strangers and strange dogs. All local shops, vets etc are informed. Just hoping for a sighting whilst we are there. :) Keep fingers crossed xx

- Hi,
I lived in Syresham some years ago, so if any help is needed in searching just let me know.more than happy to help.
must say what a beautiful girl Amber is, stay safe sweetheart.
Val - 2011-11-05 12:53 Poodley
- Is it possible to say which kennels she escaped from, as there are a few around the syresham area near the A43. Again this would help to focus the search. Hazelborough woods may be close, which I go to most days, if this is around the correct area.

- she was lost in Syresham - owners home is Farthinghoe Last edited: 2011-11-05 12:38:34 by Angus

- I'm confused, where did Amber go missing? Val, you mention Farthinghoe in your comment below but it says Syresham on her poster, which is several miles away and the other side of Brackley. If she is nervy, she may not have travelled far from where she went missing. Can we get confirmation of loss location please, to focus the search? Thanks x

- Here when needed just call me on 07956102310.
as soon as photo comes on will print out posters for local vets / pet shops here in Banbury. which kennels did she escape from.
Val - 2011-11-04 10:41 Unknown
- Yes, near Brackley I think. She is a very nervous dog and will not approach strangers, so at the moment we are trying to get sightings of her but she may be hiding because she is scared. Liz xx
- 2011-11-04 10:36 slabcabbage
- Is this the Farthinghoe near Banbury/ if so as I live in Banbury I would be willing to help in searching if needed.

- Spoke to owner, Amber was at kennels and escaped, she was spotted on the afternoon twice but nothing since. It is quite a rural area but owner will poster and try newspapera, she has contacted DW and vets and highways agency. She will send photo later on. Liz xxLast edited: 2011-11-04 09:26:53
