- Hi. We start 2006 still with no news of Poppy's whereabouts. We are still looking and will never stop. My 6 year old daughter said that all she wanted for Christmas was to get Poppy back. I hope that the sick people who steal these cherished pets realise the damage/distress they cause. I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope that you and I find our dogs soon. - Hi everyone, There's still no news on Poppy. I'm sure that 'no news' is not 'good news'. Have been to a couple of horse shows this weekend, one dog show abd a school BBQ- put posters up at all and handed out fliers at all but BBQ, I'm worried that people might get bored of seeing my posters everywhere and begin to ignore them. The article that was supposed to be in the Lincoln Echo, wasn't in, shall phone tomorrow to see if it will be in then. Thanks again, keep looking. Poppy's mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have you contacted Border Terrier Welfare? They 'gather up' and rehome lots of Borders and they have a waiting list of homes so 'lost' BTs are 'snapped up' quickly. I'll find contact details for you. Naomi xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thank-you Sasha, your help is most appreciated. I have been to Ingham today, taken a poster of Poppy and asked the lovely girls there to look at doglost. Had a look at all the rescue dogs that were there, can't believe there aren't people looking for some of those poor dogs. There was a bitch there (possibly a staffie) that had 3 week old puppies. If you know of anyone that has lost one! Obviously other dogs there but didn't recognise them from those I have seen on doglost. Went to another lady (near Newark) that I had heard has opened a rescue centre, very nice lady, not really a rescue centre but she fosters dogs that have been rescued from a pound near sheffield, I think. Again no dogs I could recognise, but told her about doglost. I believe that there is a rescue centre/ boarding kennels near Helpringham or somewhere close, but can't find a name, number or where, if anyone knows it, please let me know. Poppy's mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Posters of Poppy hopefully gone to Waddington Airshow with Sarah Gleave local dog warden/ Springer Spaniel rescue, Sarah is having a srall at the show. Kennels at Ingham are still open, the police and dog warden take dogs there. They are aware of Poppy but feel I must make sure that they have seen her photo, as I'm sure that you are right, most BT's are described as 'mutts'. I'm working my way through all the vets I can, if anyone could print off Poppy's poster and take it to their vets, I would be extremely grateful. Thanks for all your help. - Lumo - we have arranged for posters to be displayed/given at out the training classes at Whisby Garden Centre today. Also one of the trainers there is a veterinary nurse in Lincoln so she will be displaying a poster and keeping her eyes open. We mentioned Sleaford because there is just a chance that a passing motorist heading that way picked Poppy up.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- In answer to Steve and Sarah's PM as to which police station I had reported Poppy to, I have reported her missing to Nottinghamshire (to include Newark), Grantham and Lincoln, but not Sleaford, I must do that. Someone who lives just around the corner from me has told me today that they had a dog (possibly Poppy?) in their garden just after 11am on Tuesday, and that they picked her up and asked their nieghbour if it was theirs, when they said no she put it down by the road and watched it go off!! I'm not convinced because she is not the most reliable or trustworthy person (so i'm told) and couldn't be sure when I showed her the picture. Any ideas on what to do next??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hello Poppy's Mum. Have just collected e.mail with poster of your lovey pup, from Jayne. I have printed it out to put in my car. I am not too far away from you, Brampton, near Torksey. Our Jack Russell pup (Peggy) was taken last year in our stolen Land Rover so I know just how you are feeling. These lovely little dogs become part of the family and I do hope that Poppy will soon return home to you, safe and sound.....Linda xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- We live approx. 11 miles south of Lincoln, if that is any help. Poppy went missing from our garden, where she was playing with our other dog. My husband was at home with them and in the paddock next to our garden. Our other dog who has been knowned to take himself for walks hadn't left the property. Poppy has never gone 'off' before.
