- We would like to thank everyone for the help we got in finding popy. Pheobe and mark were marvelous. Poppys mum is a Lha-apso and her dad is a maltese. She was absolutely exhausted when she got home. We took her to the vet last night and apart from losing a nail she is fine.

I would like to thank Phoebe and the gentleman that came with her for helping us to find poppy. They were both fantastic and the dog was amazing. If possible could you tell everyone how good Dog lost is We will certainly let people know . We cannot thank Phoebe enough. Poppy was found this morning and Phoebes dog took us to where she was found. It has certainly been an eye opener as to how they work

- Apparently she does come from Maltese parents, so she is either a throwback or something else got into the gene pool at some point. Anyway, she is safely home and in remarkably good shape considering where she has been for the past 2 days. Wispa followed a good fresh scent from the village she was sighted in, and to our surprise led us up into the hills behind the village for quite a way then eventually down a public footpath which took us down concrete track and through fields. This would have been quite a strenuous walk for a tiny dog. As Poppy hasn't done any cross country walking it's surprising that she coped with thick mud, stiles, brambles and cows, but she seems to have followed the human scents which will have been laid down by walkers. We went over stiles and through a field with cows, then eventually down to a road. At that point the call came that Cliffe Kennels had got her. We went on walking down the road to make our way back to the cars, but Wispa swung very determinedly over the road and into the entrance to Bullfield Mill business centre. We stopped while owner called back to the kennels to double check it was Poppy they had and ask where she had been picked up. When the answer was Bullfield, all was explained. Wispa was a bit surprised by all the congratulations and rejoicing considering we hadn't caught up with our target, but we got into the cars and went off to kennels for a happy reunion. As soon as Wispa saw Poppy she realised who she was and after an initial bark started wagging her tail. Mark, owner of reunited dog Ember, came with us and helped with the search. Huge thanks to whoever caught her at Bullfield, and to the staff at Cliffe who cared for her and removed briars from her coat.
