Gemswin
I know the dog missing and am friends with owner,my mum is the dog warden for the area he is missing, will try to find out any more details
BaileyP
Just read last Friday's local paper (Mercury)and there was a dog theft attempt about 6 miles from where Dram has gone missing in Buntingford. Men in a green Land Rover with possibly a lurcher type inside tried to steal a poodle from outside a shop in the High Street. Owner came out and scared them off. Might have been coursers - same day as Dram went missing too. The Herts Police 'are investigating'!!! Wonder if there is a link.

Have you spoken to the owners Kimmybear? It has gone very quiet here!

BaileyP you are such a fab helper! I am goig to try to text owners again as no further response. Sometimes owners go into panic mode and cannot function. Will try now. x

Postered:
Little and Great Hormead, Hare Street, Braughing, Farm shop at Puckeridge as people came from all over to shop there, outside local school. Given posters to a friend whose husband shoots around that area.

Is the dog micro chipped? The vet has no record of a chip number. Also - posters don't mention a reward. If our 'friends' have taken him might it be an incentive to get them to make contact? Just a thought.

Has owner contacted the local paper The Royston Crow and maybe any liason officers for travellers' sites.

Great re no railway. That rules that out thankfully. So we need to narrow it down now, where could this baby have gone? How far do the deer travel and where to? Owners can you keep checking the srea where Dram went from, as very often they come back. Leave something that smells of you in the area. Read the info I sent you. If you haven't got the e-mail, let me know. x

Have postered Lower Langley, Little Chishill, Great Chishill, Shaftenhoe End, Barkway, Barley, Nuthampstead, Anstey, Wilkinsons Feed Store, Clavering Tack Shop, Steve Davies Dairy, Stocking/Brent Pelham. Somebody local mentioned that the gamekeeper in that area is very hot on loose dogs! Might be worth a call.
BaileyP
There is no railway line anywhere nearby Kimmybear and most of the roads are smaller country lanes. Have told friends who shoot around that area too.
BaileyP
I live in Little Hormead and will poster Hare Street and the Hormeads. have put his details on Facebook page for RATS animal rescue at Hare Street and Heathlands Animal Sanctuary at Royston.

Very happy to come out if there is a search party.

Will poster Langley and surrounding areas and pubs, quite rural around there. Will inform the Puckeridge Hunt too!

Just a thought does anyone know where the hare coursers are staying? they dont go far usually.
Fly
Places near there thesmaller Wood Green, the workers at pet cenetry may have seen something also.Try a couple of MASSIVE laminated posters in central places like village greens or large car parks for maximum coverage, and loads of handouts and mini poster in doors and to dog walkers in the area. Good Luck, will pass around to anyone near. FLY

Ellie, please tell me there is not a railway line in the fields? Also, need to check fields as sometimes deer kick and Dram could have been kicked. Hare cousers - need to trace them! May have taken him?
suziewoo
I live in Barley and regularly dog-walk and ride in the Chrishall area, will keep my eyes peeled. Have also forwarded the alert to my other local doggy friends. Fingers crossed for his speedy return.

Oh no - hope he will be home soon
Ellie
This is not my area but I was in touch with the owner this afternoon by request of a mutual friend. Dram disappeared at 4.30 on Sunday in pursuit of a stag. He knows the area well and should have been able to find his way home. They have informed Dog Wardens, police, vets, gamekeepers. There were hare coursers in nearby fields at the time. Stay safe "wee Dram"
