- Sorry to hear Harry is still missing dawson. Sorry - I've only just seen your earlier post - not sure why copying the link hasn't worked for you - works ok for me. Looking again at the picture now, I think the ears are browner than Harry's and it does look more terrier like....
Hope you get your boy back soon. x - 2012-10-30 19:14 dawson

- bit of a long shot, but is there any chance that this dog dumped in Northampton could be Harry? Looks a bit more of a terrier type, but difficult to tell with all the hair!

- Hi Dawson, just a few thoughts...
Have you been visiting rescues every 7 days, you need to even if microchipped.
Are all the posters still up and looking strong, they need to be reviewed regulary as if a poster looks tatty and old, people can think the dog is no longer missing. You can never have enough, far and wide as he could of been taken in by someone, so this is really important.
Has he been put in local paper with a picture.
Have you contacted the council for reported accidents on the roads.
Are you near motorways, if so you need to contact the highways agency for reported accidents, same with network rail if near a station.
Might be worth you checking this one...

- hi harrys mum, spoke to you earlier on the phone cant establish if travellers still on fishwick bottoms, police have no record, last one they have was at roman way and they wer moved on 5.10, but someone really needs to check fishwick to be sure because im sure the lep reported them being at fishwick, if you ring city council and ask for travellers liason officer they should be able to confirm this, dont let them fob you off, but i think they have been in and around preston since september good luck please ring if you need anything

- Dawson, do check on any terrier types as not everyone knows what a Maltese is or looks like. Got to keep options open to other possible found dogs etc. Good luck. x

Thanks dawson for posting an update and replying to my email. Posters and getting him in the papers are the way forward. Sometimes people find dogs and do not know they should report them as found or think they have been abandoned. It takes just that one person to see a poster etc and make that most important call. x - 2011-11-13 11:17 dawson

- Sorry to see that HARRY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (34348)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
